One of my websites I am hosting on, I need to switch plans, so the live chat suggested changing to xyz plan.

I have no issue with doing that money wise or anything, but it will change from a shared IP to a dedicated IP. Now my URL will by the same but obvs the IP address will change.

Will this effect rankings in anyway or will everything still link OK?

Thanks, guys!!

i think it wont effect ranks,
plus it's better to have blog on dedicated IP - so it's really good move

If the IP of your new server belongs to the same region (i.e. same datacenter, city, country etc) of your target group, then you will experience no changes in ranking. However if the region is changed, you might (or might not) experience a tiny bit of change in ranking. Per our experience, google might use the location of your hosting as a ranking factor, but the effect of this factor is almost negligible and often temporary.

Yeah, it's the exact same location. Great, thank you everybody, I appreciate it!
