    Hi guys

    Is there any toolz to help make a simple android app. Any guidance would be great...i have awesome idea..just dont know how to start..

    App Inventor is moving to open source hosted by MIT. There might be a slight lag in time, but App Inventor will be up and going.

    How? Using phonegap or otherwise?

    I want to make an app and I know jQuery.

    Please advice!

    Phonegap is the right tool for the job in my opinion; if you already know Javascript and jQuery, in less than a month with Phonegap and jQuery mobile you can quite easily create a nice looking app without the need to study Android Java API (Ok, it's a cool API and if you have time you could give it a look :) ).

    Have a look at Phonegap, it's really worth it.

    Oh, I forgot to say that using Phonegap, you could "port" your Android App for Iphone; not bad after all.
