Hey all

From past few days, I've been experiencing some <sarcasm>high quality services</sarcasm> from PayPal. So, I would like to move to an alternative.

Is there any other payment processor that would have a feature to accept payments from buyers using PP and/or credit card and accumulate in my merchant account. And then directly pay me either by cheque or wire? I mean I don't want to do anything with PP, but buyer should be able to pay using PP.

I have checked e-junkie and 1ShoppingCart, and they both do the first part. I'm not sure about second part. Do they pay you only via PayPal or can they wire as well?

Also, what about 2CO? Their fee is a lot higher, but I can bear that than the mental trauma that PP causes.

Thank you

EDIT: Just to clarify, I don't want to use PP, but customer should be able to pay via his PP account to my other account.

I always thought someone would make a free PayPal just to disrupt the industry.

You should try Plimus, they accept paypal as well so you wouldn't have to use it directly.

I would look at Dwolla.
You have to get signed up and all your customers have to have it, but it is only 25 cents per transaction...and they don't care what you do with YOUR money....unlock the other.
Peace.

PM sent - Plimus has fees that are not reasonable

Am in the same position has you OP, have contacted 2check out only to be told they will only do business with me if i go with their 7.5% transaction fees which is damn too high.

Try Bitcoin, and you wont have problems with any organization any more

Why don't you try Google checkout, it is so much better than PP and its fees are half of PP, and best of all no mental trauma... i use it for my site, and it is great. I stopped taking PP, and the customers that don't G checkout can sign in about 2 mn and voila...
Hope that helps

Paypal has given me nothing but problems every time I use it. Is there any other ways to pay for things over the intent without going through PayPal?

Yep, I too signed up for 2CO and was put into their 7.5% bracket.

To be honest, it feels a bit like a bait and switch setup. I've proven my previous history with PP, and yet the underwriters still put me under the 7.5%. They accept PP as well and will pay via bank wire on a weekly system.

I looked at others but 7.5% seems to be the norm, which is extremely high. There are other merchant accounts, but they require coding knowledge to integrate and likely will put you in the same bracket as 2CO.

Try WePay.

It's 3.5% so a little more expensive than Paypal once over $50 BUT it's cheaper in the $15ish to $50 range.

They are my first choice as of now considering other options. They have high fee, but I can do with that. But they have some very bad reviews.

Their customer support is "pathetic", they have this manual order verification system which sucks among many other things.

I would look at Dwolla.

Dwolla doesn't allow PayPal payments, right? I want my buyer to be able to pay via PayPal as well.

Not available for sellers outside US and UK.

I have these options now:

CCnow.com
Plimus

Any reviews for these?

I don't want any complicated features, or fancy hooks. Simple selling, and withdrawing money! Nothing else.

Plimus, but it kind of sucks as well. As well as the others mentioned above. If I were you I'd just have a disclaimer on your site saying paypal users should pay with google checkout, and how it would be just as fast, etc.

2CO is nice and I've been using it for year now... There are a few things to keep in mind when doing business with them.

Don't tell them the source of your transactions is BHW or any other BH forum... The right way to do this is to set up a website and put your payment buttons on it.
So visitors > BHW > your site > 2co checkout page > money in your pocket without problems.

If they see the HTTP referrer is a Blackhat forum, you'll be in trouble.. never ever direct link your payment buttons from BHW.

Thanks for the reply mate.

How much do they charge by the way? $49 application fee. $6 per month. And how much per transaction? I mean how much do you actually end up paying them?

  • There is a one-time set-up fee of $49 USD.
  • 2CO applies a 5.5% commission on each transaction, plus a $0.45 USD charge per transaction.
  • Monthly Fee: $5.99
  • Chargeback experience can also result in fees passed along to you.

Let me know if you want to signup and I'll help you get that $49 signup fee waived.

I found a coupon for $49 waiver.

One more little concern. I'm in a country that's in their "International" category. So withdrawal also cost a lot. Wire costs $20 and Check costs $12.

And I read that they can deduct amounts as much as $100 per chargeback, irrespective of the amount. Is that true?

What is your experience with chargebacks with 2CO? And what country are you from (if you want to tell, if not, it's still cool.)

I'm from an International country too but I've never tried check/wire payments... I use payoneer debit card and it works really well.

And I've ever had a chargeback so I can't say much about that ;)
