I started a Mass movement.....

There should be a bit of fear at this age. even humiliation and scolding are necessary at some extent.

Humilation necessary? Do you want to give me an example of when humiliation would EVER be necessary?

that would help you or ..
you'll adapt a complaining nature rest of your life.
There are lots of things to take care about rather than these issues.

Adapt a complaining nature? If anything, this guy is standing up for himself and what HE believes in. Maybe you don't see it as a big issue, but obviously you're not in his shoes and obviously he sees it as a big issue.

Adapt a compaining nature? No. I think the bigger problem would be acting like a pussy and adapting a nature of compliance. Maybe you're all for being a follower and letting people walk all over you, regardless of whether it's a teacher or anyone else... but fuck that noise - standing up for yourself and what you believe in is ALWAYS the best route.

Good luck OP, hope it all turns out, and props to you.

Look, what class are you in? How old are you? And what exactly do you mean by beating?

There are some people who are plain mental and will say 'if you simply touch my kid, its corporal punishment and I'll take you to court'.

Beating is bad and nobody likes it. But allowing kids to go astray and not being firm with them isn't too good either.

Plus, there's no need for a 'movement'. That just sounds too hot-blooded and instinctive and will only cause ill will. Leave it to the stupid politicians.

Just calm down. Think with a cool head. Arrange for a group of parents and students to talk with the management. I'm sure everyone involved are mature individuals and not crazy animals. A little frank and good-natured conversation can go a long way.

I can very well understand your situation. :( We're in the same boat. The retards are just going over board.

The main problem is that those retards have about 30% of our Board Results in their hands and which student will want to loose those 30%? This is what empowers them to do whatever they want. :| Yes, physical beating have been banned in Schools but yet the morons continue to do so. And if not physical beating, they keep on humiliating the students to shit. Leave alone the education system of India. Its all about grades and nothing else. Students who have completed their Computer Degrees with all the Web Languages covered can't even write a short snippet of JS code! What can be worse than this? A Class 10 student can even rule out a guy with a B.Tech. degree.

Schools take so high fees of upto 60-80K INR admission fee and upto 4K INR per month but the Faculty is terribly bad. Maybe its not a big amount in US but its too big for an Indian. Phy teacher comes in the Class, opens up a Reference book and start dictating the chapters one after another without a bit of further explanation. They say like "We will fuck up your future if you try to mess with us." You need good rank in Competitive Exams if you want a Good College. They don't care about creativity thing. A student who doesn't even knows how to turn up a computer gets admission in IIT in Computer Science section but the one who has much more knowledge in Computers does not. I am not saying that a lay man can't excel in Science or Computer but a Guy with much more previous knowledge and willingness to learn more can do much better. If you want to learn Computers, you need to first suck up Physics and Chemistry to the core no matter if you don't know anything about Computers. I can write up a full 500 Page Book over this topic but leave the shit.

Good Luck Satyawrat for your movement. I can see that your situation is very bad just like any other school in India but a very good move from your side. I hope this encouranges other to fight against the evil. :)

.

While I don't live in India, I do live in a country that used to be communist until 20 years ago and corporal punishment was silently approved of. Worst thing was you couldn't complain about it or you would find yourself visiting the HQ of the secret police... I was lucky because my father was a Brit, which meant I went to a local American school so I didn't have to endure it but I had lots of friends who would come home after school with palm prints still on their faces after being slapped by the teacher.

However, take a look at this article http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/india/100720/indian-schools-corporal-punishment-teenage-suicide . While I don't know if it is the same situation as the OPs, I don't actually believe that this is proper behavior for educational staff. Do you?

Exactly! I couldn't have summed it up better....

To OP.

Let me remind you of a couple of things in the first place.

1. U r in India, Corruption and Money and inevitable and its gone come in between your path.
2. If you are not above 18 make sure your parents are involved coz all regualatory officials can be a pain.
3. Not to de-motivate you but a situation that you are in its better to keep shut coz it can adversely affect your career. A blackmark always remains.
4. I guess you must be a teenager and coz of this obiviously hot blooded. All these are just gone be instances that you gone laugh at. Think with a cool head.

Buy some uranium from the Irani's! :P

On a serious note, great work and good luck.

may suspend me? i don't give a fuck, i will go for openschooling...
they cannot take away my faith, imagination,creativity,education... so i am still safe no matter what

Buddy, I used to think so and was upfront and bold to college lecturers and stuff.. and you know what all i freaking end up is without a degree after 3 years of suffering... they fucking detained me...

Also, keep in mind there is only gone be all this cheering and stuff from others out here .. but when the situation is worse you would be the sufferer or looser.

There is nothing equivalent to regular schooling or college.

Evening colleges, Corres nothing stands a chance in front of it.

Its your life and your decision make sure you don't regret or end up like me..

Experience is the best teacher....

And that's good? We are talking about beating being bad here.

In a comparison between self-defense, and abuse of power... I think the difference is obvious.

To everybody who thinks "beating a child is ok". ARE YOU RETARTED? Seriously, I'd like to see you under my pressure. However, even though I'm a MMA fighter, I'm too good mannered to do something like that.

Beating isn't going to teach a kid discipline. It is going to teach the kid that VIOLENCE IS AN APPROPRIATE RESPONSE! Everybody who says this is ok should learn some basic psychology.
If a kid behaves bad it is because of bad parenting and other influences. Beating them will make them even worse. Seriously, you don't need to be smart to understand that. Even idiots like you should understand that.

If you are In Government Institution it might work if you have "backing"
If you are in private institution they will suspend you and you cant do anything unless you can agitate
your best chance is if you get media involved

9 Years in student Politics 3 Time in jail for Student agitation and i tell you its a messy world out there

Organize the movement quietly, underground. Use some of the mass marketing techniques that you've learned over the years. When you've gained enough support, collectively come out by surprise.

Do many of your classmates have phones? If so, gather a list of phone numbers so you can effectively persuade and organize under the radar.

sharing a method that worked for me

when i was in highschool, a friend of mine got the shit kicked out of him by a hall monitor.

me and 6 of my friends ran around school telling people we should all hold a protest, we didn't wait, we did it immediately.
when any of us got told "nah man i don't want to get in trouble...etc" we replied with , well, hundreds of us are doing it, nobody can get in trouble since we're all there
or "why, i don't care about him" the reply was "but you do want to get out of class right, and be on the news?"
one of us called a news crew
by the time they got there there was a crowd of over 1,000 students chanting and shit, calling that guy out, he had to be escorted off campus by 20 cops to protect him from the mob

you cannot ever whip up a mob by planned action, it must be spur of the moment and you need a catalyst
