hey guys
i literally dont know nothing about crypto
but i have the money
i dont want to trade and risk,im not a gamble type of guy
can i buy a few graphics cards and start mining?
pay the electricity and get the money out of it?

i have tried mining, and trust me it;s better buy the token directly more profitable.
don't trade the token, invest on the token with good project.

since you say you don't know anything about crypto you should learn it first.
investing is all about risk management , and understanding how things works out. so if you feel repelled by this better stay away, rather than lose your money

I Got a Graphics card as a Gift , and when i search about it its show 61 hashrates
Can I make some $ with this ?

depend on your electricity cost, you try to go nicehash it have some calculator to give you some estimate.(it's not accurate tough)

i can't stop watching these.. :D

Too late for mining. You will not even get back the money spent on video cards, not to mention the cost of electricity.

out of curiosity, how much did it cost you to mine 1 BTC? how long did it take?

Last project that I saw took around 300K for approximately 30K/m net profit. Doing it on such a low scale simply won't be worth it I guess.

well there is 2 option when mining 1 join existing pool , 2 mine by yourself hoping to get a block, you need to be very lucky for this. I mine at last bull run the one before 2021, at that point btc price alrady soar and with my setup miningg 1 btc will take years lol. i use 4x gtx 1080 at that time

As barto suggested, staking could be a better alternative
zero maintenance

If you got free electricity & have some stolen gfx card you sure will make profit

Hello 1st of all.
2ndly you need to understand that when you're mining with a video card, most of the time it will be most profitable to mine Eth.

Here is my quick guide that will help you decide if its worth it.
1. Pick a card that performs well. You want to be looking at mh/w, how many mega hashes the card produces for every watt of power it consumes. You should also take the price of the card into consideration.
2. Go to any mining calculator and put in the MHs and your electricity cost and it will tell you approx how much Eth can u expect to make in a hr/day/mnth/year. Keep in mind that those calculations are based on current factors, such as current price and current block difficulty. The price of ETH may increase/decrease in the future, but the difficulty is increasing with each mined block, meaning you will get less ETH as time goes by.
3. Decide how much money are u going to dedicate to this project. If you're going with 1-2-3 cards it would be better to use nicehash, a program that uses your hardware to mine w/e is most profitable at the moment and then pays you out in w/e coin you prefer. BTC for example. It is super easy to use.
If you're going with a bit more cards, its better to use a different computer than your personal one, aka a mining rig. If that is the case you need to do a little bit of reading and figure out what motherboard and power supply will suit your needs best. You will also need to do manual setting for the cards, like overclocking and timings.
4. Calculate how much money you're going to need and then calculate ROI and decide whether if its worth your time and money to go forward.

PS: Keep in mind that Eth is moving away from PoW(proof of work) model, meaning that once the update hits, mining will no longer be available. But then again, i've been waiting for that update for 3 years now and it has been posponed time and time again.

Hope this helps :)

At this moment GPU / CPU mining is not worth it. Best bet right now are LPWAN or Lora mining with MatchX or Helium
