I propose a new BHW rule

I dunno how this would work, wouldn't it be easier to ask the rest of the community if the product or seller is a scam, wait a week for a decent array of replies then use your intuition.

I agree that the services section should have some extra rules/requirements to protect members and cut out the scams/crap services.

I'm making a sticky in the 'Freelance - Offer Your Services ' section to offer my time to review anyone's service until the rules are revised or we figure something else out.

I think the people we can mostly believe is moderator or administrator. Ask the freelancer to do their work first to moderator, or maybe moderator can point one trusted member to try the freelancer's service, post a review, and release the thread into public.

I've posted a new sticky within that section...

Hopefully this will help a little and weed out some of the garbage.

I'm pretty busy during the day, but I can make time to help protect the members of this forum from outright scams. I'll do my best to give an honest opinion of the service being offered in hopes of saving some of you time & money.

i agree with you. This will cut down on scammers here

too much scammers on this fourm.

that is a great rule but it wouldnt be fair to the new ppl here that are legit

Not sure if you commenting on my offer to review people's services.

My offer is not mandatory by any means, it's just a way to add some creditability to your service if you so choose.

yeh something needs to be done if thats the case. maybe do lmits etc. ie post counts needed and so on. also no pms alllowed if a noob cos theres alot of pm deals going on behind closed doors i bet.

You will never wipe it out so it?s really damage limitation
How about a dollar a post
So if you have made 30 posts the most you can charge for a service or a item is 30 dollars

Or you could do a middle man trade, But yeh as some others said, You can do this monitoring yourself

or, to be safer, we should implement an escrow system in our forum. Don't know how to implement it on forum though...

I don't think an escrow system will be put in place by this forum.

Any entity that provides such a service is taking on a lot of responsibility/liability.

I've offered to review any service and submit a public review, other than that and possible rule changes, I'm not sure what else can be done.

Keep in mind the rules of the section...

As I'm sure you already know, this is an area of the forum where you can post an ad offering your services. I thought it might be a good idea to throw a general warning out to everyone here, just to let you know that you won't receive the same services & guarantees here that you will on an actual freelance website. After all, this IS a black hat marketing website!

For example, unlike actual freelance websites, we DO NOT have an escrow service in place. That means you are ON YOUR OWN when it comes to financial transactions. We offer NO GUARANTEE on any user's behalf, of any kind. So please, choose your employee/employer wisely, and know that you are using this area of the forum AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Also, make sure you use the iTrader feature of this website (similar to eBay's feedback system), after every successful transaction. To use iTrader, simply click on the user's iTrader number and proceed to leave them feedback based on your evaluation of their performance.

Now, I think it's important to mention that just because someone doesn't have an iTrader history of any kind, or a very low iTrader score, doesn't mean they aren't trustworthy; it just means they're new to freelancing here. You should also take notice of the user's forum history, such as how long the user has been a member of the forum, their post count and reputation score. All of these factors should help you find a reputable employee/employer and help you avoid any non-paying deadbeats.

I also recommend that you and the other party both sign and use a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) BEFORE viewing or agreeing to complete any projects. I will attach a sample NDA below. Also, agree on a price BEFORE you start the project, and get everything in writing.

And last but definitely not least, please remember that this is a black hat website. While most of the people here are honest, trustworthy people, there is ALWAYS the chance that someone could scam you out of every single cent you can conjure up. Please use this section of the forum wisely to avoid being scammed out of your (hard-earned?) money!
