Seems as though BHW members are being scammed more and more lately so I propose the following rule which I call the 30 30 (thirty thirty) rule:

In order to sell anything, you must have at least 30 posts and have been a member of BHW for at least 30 days. I've been scammed a few times here myself so I think this might cut the scams down quite a bit.

If this hasn't already been proposed, I think the MOD's should give this some serious consideration.

    Anyone agree, disagree?

Everybody already has the ability to do the exact thing you are proposing. It is easy to see their post count and how long they have been a member. I don't buy from anybody with less than a hundred or so posts.

Well, to sell something you have to have it approved by the mods already. They can only moderate what happens so much. When someone comes in with no posts and starts trying to sell a service or something, people need to realize that they shouldn't just send them their money without seeing any legit reviews, etc.

I understand their are still some ways people could get scammed, but just because someone made 30 random posts and waited 30 days doesn't mean they can't scam someone.

The scams are happening in the freelance section not BST. I have seen 3 people scammed in the past three days.

You make some very good points but I believe that most scammers are looking to make some quick cash so the 30 days might deter them a little.

You can't trust anyone nowadays, and the people you can are the ones that donate!! lol

Maybe disable PMs until 30 posts... then other factors influence your decision to work with them also.

I have thought about setting one up but wondering how much to charge for the service. I would take me a few days to set it up.

The issue I see is how selling EPN account freelance services. It should be in the BST section of the forum.

If you're selling a service is should be in he BST section.

Although the 30/30 rule might slow the scammers down a bit, I'm not necessarily sure it would stop someone who is really interested in scamming. Just think back to the whole jaeden/mazemiami fiasco. Both of them were jr. vip's with hundreds of posts each and they pulled off one of the biggest money scams on BHW. But I think everyone is on the right track trying to come up with ways to stop these lames.

Unfortunately, with rules come a need for enforcement, no? And an escrow service would be a hell of a lot of work. And just because someone has 30 posts doesn't mean he's honest.

Although, this is a good general rule of thumb I sold things with only a few post here and kept my end of the bargain. So NOT everyone is a scammer, I came here to learn skills and do business just as everyone else.

This is how I do business: People pay, I deliver. That simple.

i think i would have to go with the 100 post rule lol.. would be harder to reach, 30 post is easier to reach though, can achieve in a short while.

I am not even 100 post yet.
