i owe facebook money HELP

If you intend not to pay then that is intentional and would be considered theft/fraud.
Just because they haven't chased you for the money yet, doesn't mean they won't.

Actually no, under the new lending act (I think 2015), they are not allowed to lend money to people who cannot afford it, since they did not asses my credit score, they would not have a leg to stand on under new laws, they wouldn't be able to claim the money. they can try, but they would gladly fail. My intention was to pay them back, but it didnt work out like that, and 2 years on this is where I am, I have gone to a solicitor and no matter what they will not win a case under the new lending act.

They gave me credit.

They gave me credit.
I seriously doubt that any judge would rule that charging for services already provided is legally equivalent to a monetary loan.

Under your interpretation, a meal at a restaurant would be "free" because you are loaned the food first and asked to pay after the fact, though the courts have consistently ruled that failure to pay for a meal is theft.

Did you sign a credit agreement with them?
I think you are confusing consumer credit with business payment terms. You set your ad budget with Facebook.

The definition of lending is borrowing a sum of money and agreeing to pay it back later, I owe facebook £200 on one accounts, e.g I have said I wont pay this now I will pay this back at the end of the month, therefor I have lent money, I did not sign a credit agreement which is why they have no leg to stand on. You cant tell someone to pay money back later on when they are in financial difficulty it is against the lending act, I am not sure why you are arguing this? a solicitor told me this?

a solicitor told me this?
If you've spoken with a lawyer already, what could possibly make you think that an anonymous black hat forum is the best place to get a second opinion?

If you're certain that the law is on your side, have your lawyer send a dispute letter and get the debt dropped entirely. If what you're saying is correct, that should leave your account 100% clean and eliminate any chance of debt collectors coming after you in the future.

I am not asking for a second opinion? I am just stating what I have done in response to a question here.

Finally something blackhat on the forum.

aha I know right, seems to be getting a bit too ethical in here.

It should be $20, if it has changed to $2, which I would be confused about, you need to spend some money first to increase the thresh hold, I think it goes 20, 40, 80, 120, 160 200

BUT BRO THE QUESTION IS , were you paying your due , to arrive to 200 dollars threshold , ? i mean did you pay the 20 40 60 120 180 before arriving to 200 ? because i think i've heard there is a method you can get to 200 directly

You can't pay $20?

You owe it, pay up.

Or risk that amount increasing as they sell your debt to a debt collection agency.

That $20 will turn into $200+.

So pay it

No it will not mate, it is illegal for a debt collection agency to add interest to someone who is in financial difficulty,

Your acting like I have not dealt with debt collection companies before. so let me tell you a few thing.

1. if they dont get the debt within 7 years it is wiped.
2. Legally they cannot allow you to owe money if you were in financial difficulty to begin with, it is against the lending act, and the debt would be wiped.
3. The debt collection companies actually buy the debt for 10% of what it is, so they do negotiate and average of 50% discount from my experience. (1 company even did 90%)
4. They cannot harras you or the debt will be wiped.
5. This is a non priority debt, bayliffs etc would not be involved at all, the process would be to sell to a debt collection agency, and the only power the debt collection agency has is to send it to a court for the court to ask you to pay in monthly installments, thats as far as non priority debts can go.

Conclusion: you can't get someone to legally owe you money when they are in financial difficulty, this is the entire reason the lending act was changed a few years ago, because companies were doing exactly what facebook do now.

Yes mate you have to spend to get to the thresh hold, I have known someone to do chargebacks though after they get to the $200 and get all the money back without facebook disputing.

Bollocks mate - they don't care about whether you're in financial difficulty or not. Have you seen "Can't Pay, We'll Take It Away" ? You think all these people on finance and shit who can't pay, weren't in financial hardship prior to getting loans or credit?

Sorry mate but you have no idea what you are talking about, you are simply going on opinion, I have experience with these people for years.

Cant pay we will take it away? that depends, did they lend you an object they can sell? If you finance the car you agree the car is not owned by you until every penny is payed, therefor they can take it away since its their property, now can they go into your house and take you TV because you didnt pay for the car in full? no because it is a non priority debts, they wouldnt be able to get a court order to do that, its for a county court.

IF you ever lend off a debt collector in the UK, they will check income, expenditure, current debts, credit file, they check everything... just because they know what will happen if they lend to someone in financial hardship, this is where the ombudsman service starts coming into play and saying to the loan company. You are not allowed to do this it is illegal you must wipe this customers debt.
