I need Urgent craigslist proxy solution

From what I've gathered, CL requires PVA for certain IP ranges... most notably lately, the IP ranges used by mobile broadband cards, since it's too easy to get a new IP with them.

I'd imagine DSL and dialup should be the same, but I haven't tried, so I donno.

With cable modem IPs, you're usually good. Because cable modems (normally) don't change IP too often, those IP ranges seem to be more trusted by CL. Of course it's possible to change cable modem IPs on demand, which is what I've been doing in LA with good success.

But my ads in other cities have been getting ghosted, I presume because even though I used a fresh IP each time, it was still coming from LA... so now I'm going to try some proxies.

I met justone on this forum, and consider him to have mad network skillz, so I bought me some Cloakfish the other night. I've gone thru and activated proxies for myself in several cities, I'm about to try posting now. I'll let you know how it goes!

I'm curious how cloakfish worked for you.

Check out SEOProxies.com - they also posted a thread in the BST section you can search for. I've used them before and their proxies are good.

Hi there.

I hope it's alright for me to add to this. I just wanted to update people on changes on cl.

Since cl had their maintenance the other night there have been several changes. It will probably take a bit for people to realize the things that were working before aren't working anymore now.

There's much more ghosting of ads. Many more IP blocks and ranges now fall into the "soft block" category for cl. Meaning many IPs that worked for things on cl before don't work now.

As far as requiring pva, any isp that isn't pinned down to a subscriber, that doesn't meet a certain criteria, will require pva in order to post in most all categories, in all cities. And then many of those ads will end up being ghosted.

Proxies that worked for posting ads before the last maintenance no longer work, or posting with them results in the ads being ghosted.

Proxies that worked for flagging scams no longer work. Cl has changed something in the dynamics, or the algorithms that determine IPs/proxies that are counted for flagging.

In time these things will become more clear but in the meantime it's all still new, and pretty dynamic.

If anyone knows what kind of proxies now work for flagging please let me know. We have scammers that post thousands and thousands of ads all in each sub-area on our site. The proxies/types that worked great for flagging them before the maintenance don't work at all any longer. cl must be required some additional criteria in order for flags to be counted but it'll take time to figure out what they are.

My apologies for barging in again. I just wanted to correct something I stated in my last post so it doesn't mislead anyone.

I thought cl had changed something in the flagging algorithms. That doesn't appear to be so.

I had some setting on my computer that was off (wierd explanation if anyone cares to know) but upon realizing this all is back to normal with flagging down the thousands of scams flooding our cl site.

Also, just to note. I am not a flag maniac. I post honestly and treat all the other posters in my category with the respect I hope to be given. The scammers' only intention is to bury everyone else's ads so they can't be viewed. Cl is understandably far too busy to be able to deal with it.

Some of us don't have the time nor the funds to keep up with buying one method after another to try and keep up with the scammers' pace of spamming.

I have never flagged ads unless they were extremely abusive, not only to cl but also to the rest of the people that try to post their ads.

We've tried for way to long to flag and flag and flag, but flagging could never come even close to keeping up with the amount and velocity of the spam the scammers post.

cl used to remove their scams and block them over and over but the would always returns within half an hour or less.

Sometimes vigilante justice is the only thing that works and makes the category usable for the rest of us.

Again, I apologize for my intrusion here.

Thanks for reading.

Happy holidays to everyone!

Exclusive Proxy works fine, but phone verified accounts (PVAs) are now needed in every "for sale" or "services" section I have tried. "Resumes" held out for a while, but that one is gone now too.

And what's worse, accounts I've had for months now are being put on hold. The rule used to be that if you didn't post more than once per 48 hours per account, you could count on your PVAs lasting a long time, but not anymore.

And some may not be aware that Craigslist is also going after every single posting software company in court- and demanding subscriber/customer information.

So they have launched a war on many fronts, and the end result is, I think, that Backpage is going to become a very hot property.

a friend and i recently launched http://www.proxytronic.com which should work for CL. its socks5 proxies.

Has anyone used his service for CL posting without PVA's on non-services section?
Please provide reviews if you have...

Thanks,
Anu

I used this, some work. alot get blocked and PVA'd from time to time. good proxies but maybe not for CL.

All the best,

Catz
