I?m a newbie at SEO?had websites for many years but never done SEO myself. Lately I got into it and I love it. I have done my research but I would just appreciate some tips on programs and software?s that can facilitate SEO work.

You need to be more specific. Are you looking for a software to see if your page are optimized correctly? Are you looking for tools to analyze your competition? Are you looking for tools to build backlinks on forum, profiles, blogs, directories, etc? Check out the download section and decide on what you really are looking for.
 
You can download almost all that u need in the downloads section. Download a bunch of stuff, see what the deal is and come back with some specific questions.

Besides good FRESH content, build good quality backlinks to your site. Keep in mind, link to interior pages as well as home page. Stay FAR AWAY from link farms!
