Hello, how are you all. (I hope I'm in the right thread to ask for this help) I'm a little ignorant with this because I've never used Facebook ads before but well it touched me, I have a problem with this and it's that 2 or 3 days ago I put a credit card as a payment method, the card is real and everything, so today I got into paying for ads and well I get that I was banned/disabled from that ad account, what could have caused that? I never published anything or had any previous pages. I would like to know what I can do and I hope you know something, thank you

(It's in Spanish, sorry for that, I use a translator to talk to you)

Hello, advertising on Facebook is currently very difficult for beginners; newly created accounts have almost no chance. Even if you haven't done anything wrong, you'll still receive a ban from Facebook, and appealing is almost impossible. It's better to find reputable agencies and work with them to save time!

It sounds like your account was flagged during the setup process, which can happen even if you haven't published anything yet. Some potential reasons for this could be:

  1. New account with no history: Facebook can sometimes disable new accounts due to a lack of activity or history, even if everything seems normal.
  2. Payment method issues: Some payment methods, like newly added credit cards, can raise flags, especially if they don’t match any previous account history.
  3. Facebook's automatic reviews: Facebook has automated systems that can flag accounts if they detect suspicious patterns, even if you haven’t made any ads yet.

I’d recommend contacting Facebook support and explaining the situation. Sometimes they may re-enable the account after review, especially if there was no actual violation.

Incluso si no has hecho nada malo, Facebook te baneará, y apelar es casi imposible. ¡Es mejor buscar agencias con buena reputación y trabajar con ellas para ahorrar tiempo!

This was quite helpful, although I have doubts about starting my advertising account with a personal Facebook account created in 2021 (I have another 2016/2017 but it doesn't give me the option to create an ad profile) is there anything else I can do on my part?

It’s pretty common for new accounts to get locked after adding a payment method. Just try with another account and keep adding the card until a payment goes through, Facebook usually doesn’t trust brand-new accounts very much.

You can also submit your payment card information to appeal Facebook's account suspension.

Your account has been banned due to unusual payment activity; appealing this ban is very difficult. If you are using your personal account with valid information, you can submit a request to support and ask for their assistance.

welcome to the club lol. fb bot flags personal cards n new accs instantly these days.
honestly, personal accs are a headache for beginners. if u wanna run ads without gettin banned every 5 mins, u need high-trust agency assets. we handle all the billing so u don't have to worry bout card flags.
drop me a pm if u need a stable setup to start!

Facebook may have mistakenly thought your account was hacked after you replaced the card; please submit an appeal to the Facebook team.

The image shows your account has been locked. Please check if your account is banned due to unpaid debts or temporarily suspended due to some sensitive issue. If you encountered a payment error, you can pay the balance and resume activity. If your account is banned due to a sensitive issue, please appeal with your identification documents or you can transfer to another account.

Your account was unexpectedly suspended due to a payment card issue; you can change your card.

If you haven't contacted Facebook's support yet now is the right time to do so; they can get your ad account reinstated.

You might want to focus on warming up the account a bit before trying to run ads from it. Spend some time using it normally, sometimes it just takes a little time and regular activity before more features appear.

Hello! Don’t worry about the Spanish — it’s perfectly understandable.

What happened to you is actually very common with new Facebook ad accounts, especially when they are fresh and have no history.

Some possible reasons why your ad account was disabled even if you didn’t run ads yet:

  1. New account + new payment method – When a new ad account adds a credit card immediately, Facebook’s system sometimes flags it for security review.
  2. No activity history – Accounts that have no pages, no posts, and suddenly add a payment method can look suspicious to the automated system.
  3. IP / location changes – If you logged in from different locations or used a VPN, the system may think the account is risky.
  4. Automated verification failure – Sometimes it’s simply Facebook’s automated protection system being too strict.

What you can do:

  • Go to Account Quality and request a review.
  • Verify your identity if Facebook asks for it.
  • Wait for their response (usually 24–72 hours).

If the account is very new, sometimes it’s easier to warm up the account first (create a page, normal activity, etc.) before running ads.

Also, many advertisers who scale ads usually work with high-trust Business Managers (BM2500 / high HIVA score setups) because they’re much more stable and less likely to face instant restrictions compared to brand-new accounts.

Hope this helps and good luck fixing it! If you need more guidance, feel free to ask.

Getting started with Facebook advertising can be challenging for beginners, especially with new accounts that may go through stricter reviews. Sometimes accounts can be restricted even when there’s no clear mistake, and the appeal process may take time. Because of that, some people choose to work with experienced agencies or professionals who understand the system better and can help manage campaigns more efficiently.

The problem stems from unusual activity, you need to warm up your advertising account before using it
