Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to find this topic, but...

I need help locating a scammer on eBay that has made large purchases from me, leaving me negative feedback, and spamming my account. I am an antiques dealer and I am currently working with a very large customer overseas off the site so I must get things back together ASAP. The scammer has bought $3,000 worth of items from me without ever paying, ones that my other serious customer is interested in. I contacted eBay and got him removed from my account at first. It didn't do any good, he keeps coming back every time I relist. It costs me hundreds of dollars in fees that eBay won't give me back! The fake sales are causing me extreme trouble with my business and I'm looking to sue him for unpaid sales and fraud. Since I never got his address, I need someone to locate him and where he created the account. His username is "backfi123" with 4 feedback. Most of his purchases are $1-$2 each with a bad rating. Now he's harassing me and making me get charged for it, and eBay doesn't care!

I'd gladly work with somebody who can find out who he/she is. If anyone knows how to do that, please respond.

I tried to send him a PM and it won't let me. Says I need 15 posts . Can you PM him for me possibly?

I dont understand, did you join this forum because your ebay issue?
We dont locate people here.
This is Internet marketing forum where people share their methods about making money.
And yeah... this is not hack forum.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to start any trouble. I just need to find someone who can track IP codes to an exact location instead of what he has online, since eBay seems to care less. This guy keeps putting me deeper and deeper into debt and I really need to find out who he is and report him to the authorities outside of eBay before my serious customers come back thinking I don't have any good products left. The biggest customer I'm working with is actually one of the largest collectors in the world and I have been one of his major sellers for the past 7-9 months. Things have good going amazing until this guy comes along and ruins my expensive sales and I've had to stop listing items as a result because he keeps adding charges to my account by buying without paying. So I can't sell to my serious buyers until I get things straightened out, plus a fortune in Paypal fees he's put onto my account after I've already once had him banned once from buying my items for spamming. I wasn't sure where else I could find somebody who could help with this problem. I apologize for looking suspicious, it's there's no other way to find out who he is and I doubt eBay even knows if he put in a fake address. If he decides to delete his account I'm at a HUGE loss. Tracking his IP code while he's still active is pretty much the last resort and other than what could be online trackers, I don't know what to do.

I went onto ebay and had a look at the guys account, it looks like a troll/puppet account. I also saw an antiques forum that you requested help on, I would suggest that it is one of your competitors trying to sabotage you.

Okay, thanks. Once again, I'm sorry. It's just selling on eBay generates quite a bit of income for me and I need to get things fixed and back together. My big customer buys at random times and I have a lot more items to sell soon. Not sure how much longer my customer will buy from me and this has put me at a halt. Since eBay doesn't care, there's really nothing else I can do about it besides take some sort of legal action and hope that works out. Just needed to know who it is in the first place.

If you have a regular customer, they shouldn't care about that guy. Show eBay that the guy is consistently targeting people that sell Coke Points, and then not paying. Just look at his feedback left for others section and you will be able to show eBay that he is only a member to cause trouble, and you should be able to get some help on that front.

I dont understand why you dont block him on ebay?
Block him and then he cant buy from you anymore (unless he open a new account).

Also, i don't understand why you dont get your feedback back, if he dont pay you can open a case in resolution center which return you fees...

The only thing that ebay will not do if to remove it from your limitation, so it will still count as an transaction and part of your limitation

If at all possible, make your auctions require immediate payment. I know this requires buy it now and it may be hard to do selling antiques but it will keep most scammers away. I had to do this same thing when I sold phones. People would bid the price up to an extraordinary amount and not pay. Immediate payment stopped this completely. I don't think it will do you any good tracking the guy down because he could be using stealth. This is one of the main reasons I got fed up with eBay, there are too many scammers. I hope you get it all sorted out.

Bad situation mate, I hope it works out. Just in the fact that he will get what's coming to him eventually.

you did sent him some stuff which he did not pay ..... so you have a deliver address ???
Just hand that over to the police and the paymant fraud.

I have had assholes buy from me and never make contact. Like you I sell some high ticket items. Its an inconvenience as somethng like high end antiques, cars, boats etc may make a substantially different price when relisted and usually lower as previous bidders will be under the impression that the original bidder inspected the item and decided it was not worth finalizing the sale.

I dont understand your problem with fees and feedback however. If you have strict auction terms that buyer must make contact at auctions end and arrange deposit or full payment within 24/48 hours then let them know you will open a dispute with eBay.

You will win your dispute if they are non payers/non responders and will not be liable for final valuation fees. The troll bidder will not be eligible to leave feedback either.

First of all ebay returns fees if the buyer doesn't pay, ebay has many tools to avoid buyers like you have described, this is their sellers protection program, secondly i think you don't understand in which forum you came to, this is not a hack forum, and thirdly i think that you just want to make a personal revenge.

I was in exact same boat as you are two months ago. I sold Bitcoin on eBay. Guy PM me and asked if I have more to sell. I said yes. He said if I accepted payment from him as friend and family. Now friend and amily payment cant be reversed, so I was Ok with that. I sold him and within 5 minutes, he reversed the payment. He scammed me for 2200. I called eBay/PP but they said they cant do any thing.

So much depressed !
