As shown by the above listed link, just getting a LINK from these kind of sites costs hundreds. The OP should ask why a general prestige publication would publish a piece related to his keyword at all, let alone with a live link to a dinky niche site.

The OP would have a much better chance getting a backlink from an article on an expired domain that already had such a premium link coming to it. Easier to get (or to hire someone to get for you), and cheaper.
