If you're trading your time for money, that's what keeps you poor.
I will pay someone money for a service if, in return, I can either buy myself some more time to spend doing things that matter more to me or that will free up time to do activities that can bring me more money in the mean time.

How much are you charging for labor?
how many houses did you have to do to hit 75k?
Seems there are two markets. Generic put up lights too old to be on a latter or wife or whoever worrying about them. And then the high end market.
lots of “add on“ /premium upsale options if you’re good at it. Christmas night light fight style timed to music or whatever. Then come back next week and ask their neighbors. Some neighborhoods get really competative about wanting to be the best lights in the area. easy to get referrals if people see you setting it up or see your work.
were you putting up real extravagant displays or mostly just basic lights along the roof?

Hahahaha True!
This absolutely works in the U.S. Also you can charge a yearly storage fee and use the same lights next year. I have a business that uses this service.
