I lost my dad last night

As I think some of you know, I haven't been online for a week. For months, he hadn't been doing well, and it had been almost a year. He passed with me and my wife and is with my mom now. I miss him so much, and he had a whole life at 89.

He was from an era when people were tough but kind and helped others. I will miss his voice and how he cared about others more than himself.

Thank you to all who have messaged me in the past and have been so good to me; I can't tell you how much it means. Sorry if I am all over the place but this is pretty new and fresh and I am still processing it.

Please do me a favor, if you get a chance, hug or call your loved one, as you never know. Thanks for letting me share.

Age is just a number, shouldn't define the way we live or if we feel alive or not.

I am sorry to hear that about your father. Condoleances and hope you'll get the power to go through it.

Stay strong. I am sure he would want you to do that.
 
@Mrnewbie, I am sorry for your loss. I know you've already talked with me on this subject, and it saddens me to hear that it has happened. Based on what you've written, I am sure your father knew he could not have had a better son than you. By any means, if you need anyone to talk to, then feel free to reach out to me. Really sorry for your loss @Mrnewbie I can't even imagine how it feels but for me personally I know that my dad is probably the most relatable person to me on this planet (Alongside my mum of course) and so I can only imagine how tough it is for you right now. I am just going to see my dad shortly - he is in a carehome so not the best situation but I am thankful every day that he is here and I will give him a big hug in memory of your dad.
 
Sorry for your loss. It is a tough feeling when you lose precious one. We have to thank GOD for every moment we have with them.
