GoDaddy dropped some positions for its keywords too, they embed over-optimized backlinks on sites using Website Tonight.

i did not rank in google but still my site in is first page of gogle but my traffic are from bing and yahoo and i receiveds thousand of traffic per day..

A lot of people lost a lot of their income today , including me and I find it in poor taste for some smug people who's sites weren't hit yet to not be just happy they were lucky, but to brag about how great they are as if that's why their sites weren't hit. if you were lucky, good for you, but don't tell me how wonderful you are right now please.

Stop bragging guys and wait for the tsunami...I thought am safe since the start of this thread,Sudenly my blog and other website disapears from the first page,a blogspot one is in the first place, the first page i can find of mine is the privacy policy !!!!!!This is a total chaos on google , hopefully this is just a a post-newalgo google dance, if not this is a big damage !!

People did this back in February and within 2 weeks all of the sites that thought they were hot shit were gone too...
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people and their "private blog networks" got hit for over-optimization in the end.

Any correlation between "unnatural backlinks" emails. and sudden drop in rank?
1) Did everyone that dropped get an email?

One of my sites dropped in late Feb during the first roll out, I gained back a ton of spots by early this month, and it dropped again on the 17th (on some terms)
Still no webmaster update
Today it dropped majorly across keywords it held for ages... no explanations.
But dummy feeder sites I own took over a lot of the SERPs (including a ton of my own web 2.0s I automatically built) Go figure.

I took a look in Majestic and found that some of my sites experienced link loss. Those that did fell a bit but not too badly. Lost one keyword (not site) that has been #1 for the past 6 months since I started in IM while my newer sites are all ranking well, same with my Tier 1 network that is now outranking some of my main sites.
I agree it's chaos. I have lost most of my 1st positions although luckily, my money site is OK. I think we really have to put our heads together. Seems like exact match domains are not ranking. Also sites without good content and have plenty of backlinks, probably lower quality.

I think the recent changes are temporary because some of the results are just retarted. For instance search "make money online" On the first page is makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com.( Theres just no way thats possible. )

my site has all the link types (but not forum profiles) but still it got sunk by this bloody update... looks like old "place holders" only sank? New sites replaced them which are way more spammier...

For the record:
None of my customers got hit. At all, in fact two of them climbed up. I build about 1000 links a day using scrapebox and that seems to work perfectly for longtails. Just a tip. And yes it really is that easy.
