Mine are all good. Majority of my sites don't have a backlinking strategy. I rank because of incredibly low competition. Hopefully now Google helps out my other sites a bit since they are "clean".
I did too... in a highly competitive market where I've had top rankings for around 5 years. My site is all but gone in almost all categories. I'm in shock right now.
This is hard stuff Designex! Ranking for 5 years! and now that?
I also lost 2 sites (all my sites) on top positions. So I go down from 7k a month to zero... What now? Got to clean toilets? My sites are 3 years old and I always thought they are authority sites in there niche.
Funny is, new, 3-4 month old sites, coming up on the top positions. Maybe we should also start from zero...
I know how you feel. I had a few site that were page 2 and then the drop to 12,13 . To big of a drop for me. Guess I'll have to wait and see if it's just the dance. I hope so.
Let this be a reminder to never rely on only one method. The Panda will hit and you have to be prepared. If a bunch of black hatters are getting smarter, obviously the techs at google are going to get smarter.
Yeah, it sucks, but it CAN be avoided. I was hit by the last Panda update a month ago and formulated a new SEO plan that helped my rankings this time around. Diversity in all aspects of SEO has been key for awhile. Don't forget it.
Had a site receiving 700 UV a day ranked at #8, can't find it in the top 100 - still indexed.
Site ranking for numerous keywords bringing in 200+ UV a day, can't find it in top 100 for 3 main keywords - still indexed
Remember, this is not only you got hit. I had several websites ranking some good spots has been just de-indexed. and the day it was de-indexed was 22th April
I honestly don't know what to say for the guys that have been hit by Google. My good friend is devastated because he has lost thousands of income from this single blow while ALL my sites which includes 90% of the keywords they are contending for are at page 1. So I'm kind of mixed whether I should rejoice or feel sympathy for the people who have been rocked.
The funny thing is, those who have been hit are overtaken by irrelevant sites which seems to add insult to injury. As for my link building patterns, I have never touched PBN links with a long stick but still managed page 1 rankings for 90% of the all the keywords combined. I think this may be a glitch though and everything will revert back after a few days.
