I lost a 900 instagram followers overnight

I am only using followliker i never buy followers. But now i sudenly have minus 900 followers.

Did someone else experienced this ?

Do somebody know why this happened ? Is my account in danger of ban ? Do they know about my FL ?

What should i do ? Turn of FL for couple of days ?

If Instagram wanted to ban you, they would ban you. Taking away some of your followers as a punishment doesn't make sense on their behalf.
It could be possible that a bunch of bots following you were banned.
I'm not familiar with FL but is there an option to block obvious bots that are following you? That could also be it.
 
There is a very huge problem with bots nowadays and most of the accounts running on bots get verification loops. Some people are not checking their status on bot for a long time and I think they get banned because of trying again and again logging in without verification. Those accounts get banned. They can be reclaimed but they are gonna surely get banned. Probably as @MisterFallen said, bunch of bots got banned. It has nothing to do with your account. But botting is not safe nowadays. I stopped all my accounts and won't be running until this verification loop problem totally solved.
 
The followers you lost were most likely inactive users or spam accounts. Instagram won't "punish" you by removing followers- they would ban you (unless the followers you lost were indeed inactive/spam, which they were because you didn't get banned).
 
Instagram probably marked the accounts that were inactive as spam and banned them all.
 
There's nothing to worry about, some probably unfollowed most of the probably were bot accounts that got deleted. This should raise a red flag for you though, try to target better the accounts you're following as ideally you should avoid bot accounts as they don't help with engagement at all.
 
Bots the followed you got banned/deleted. Try growing your account by joing Facebook engagement groups and Telegram pods. You can also try influencer marketing, do collaborations with bloggers at Phlanx(dot)com
 
I lost 100 in a few days, but 900? That's a lot. Well... it depends on the size of your account tho.

Did you try something crazy in FL, like following and unfollowing the same person at the same time? Because some of them gets annoyed when you keep following and unfollowing them.
 
Remember that the majority of instagram acccounts are in fact bots/unactive/spam accounts...

When there is a huge ban wave everyone is affected...

Try focusing on amping up the quality of your followers...

filter them for bots, I believe there is a program or service that filters and removes bot/spam followers from your account...
 
So I was about to hit 2,000 followers and overnight I lost 900 followers. From my research I have realized I was using a banned hashtag (#boho), why this is banned I have no clue? I also use a lot of the same hashtags in my posts, I’m a vintage/antiques seller, there are only so many hashtags I can think of. But apparently using the same hashtags is a big no no on Instagram. Also I like a lot of posts throughout the day. All 3 of these things is why I think I got “shadow banned”. At least I think I got shadow banned. If anyone can explain to me why an account with only 2,000 followers would get 900 followers taken away I would love to know!?

So I had 900 followers taken away from me over night. I only have 2000 followers. Do you think 900 of my followers were bots?
 
I think Instagram does not warn or threaten you. Probably 900 bot accounts have been banned. I will suggest that you should resort to longer-lasting and effective solutions than FL.
