Absolutely not. Vietnam is a comunist country but we are totally not similar to North Korea. We get more freedom here, our people also have a much more comfortable life. Mostly Vietnamese people are literate and not hungry. English language is quite popular here. Internet is everywhere and affordable, the cheapest package is about $6.5 monthly

We are still censored something but the level is actually much lower. In North Korea you can not travel freely, take photos, talk to native people freely... you can do it in Vietnam. If you need help when travelling in Vietnam, you can ask and receive assitance everywhere that you never get in North Korea. When Kim Jong Un visited Vietnam in 2019, he is totally astonished with everything in Vietnam because Vietnam has developing much faster than he thought about a communist country like his.
