i just saw a real ghost or something?!

I had a strange dream last night . . . I dreamed that I ate a giant
marshmallow . . . and when I woke up, MY PILLOW WAS GONE! :D

Oh! My God! You have eaten Pillow?! :) You must try burger and sandwiches, Pillow is not good for your health and we not want to lose our moderator :)

I heard the same sort experience from one of my friend,it's a sleep paralysis,we have a name here called "bobai dhora",you will scream but the person next to you will only here growling. On the other hand if it were a ghost experience your fears wouldn't have just vanished in the middle of the night, you would of heard things and felt something in your house

so you can awake from a dream and still be in a dream? i was definitely awake with the sleep paralysis, i knew what was happening to me as clear as i type this message, after reading it has happened to other people and they all have very similar experiences oddly enough the entity are always old, people brush it off as being fake because it doesn't make sense for spirits / demons to be real but maybe there is more to the picture that we just can't comprehend we are surrounded by alternate dimensions but just because we can't comprehend them doesn't mean they aren't there..

i think the experiences are pretty much done with and don't think it will happen again but i could be wrong i guess time will tell.

You're free to believe anything you want ofcourse, be it ghosts from alternate dimensions, the sun God of Napoli, Jesus or Allah the Allmighty. I'm pretty down to earth but in my teens I used to believe in alot of things that made little sense. A book that had a significant impact on my way of thinking is The Blind Watchmaker. It didn't change it directly, but started the process. It makes a very interesting read, regardless of what you believe: http://www.terebess.com/keletkult/The_Blind_Watchmaker.pdf

My friend had a very similar experience and it freaked him out the same as it was the first time anything like that ever happened to him. After searching online for an answer we came across this site www. beyond-within . com - and spoke with the woman who ran it. She did a energy scan on him and found that he had an entity that attached itself to his mind to feed off his emotions/energy as if it were food. He later got it cleared by that same lady and the day she did he he felt amazing and hasn't had any problems since. I had the same lady take a look at my energy field and she found some issues there and healed/cleared them on the astral/spiritual level. There are a lot of FAKE psychics & frauds out there but I must say that this lady is the real deal, she was able to tell me things about myself that I never told anyone. I'd highly suggest you get a scan done by her, it's only $8 and she'll tell you exactly what is going on.
Nice try.. admin of beyondwithin.com ;)

On a serious note.I do believe in ghosts. Not really ghosts, but paranormal beings. I havent personally had experiences but heard from various people close to me.. A couple of people in my relatives got apparently possessed and did crazy things n became fine after being exorcised.. True story!

i live in a apartment by myself i sleep with my face to the wall and i always feel something is behind me like something blowing on my neck but nothing is ever there
it creeps out so much

i also once had a dream that i was at a cinema and this guy he looked identical to the TEXES CHAINSAW MASSACRE and he looked straight at me then i woke up all sweaty

When we are sleeping and suddenly wake up, that is when the "sleep" paralysis happens, its like when we are sleeping our brain unplug a cord so that we wont go walking around and doing crazy shit while sleeping. Each time this happens to me I get so scare, even if I try to calm myself by saying everything is fine, then suddenly I feel like someone is going to do something to me and shit.

I dont know if I should share this but back when I was 15 I used to have a major depression problem, and one night the paralyzed thing happened to me but it was way different, I saw this tall shadow, like real tall, its looks like death, or at least the way people portrait it,it has long arms and look real skinny, the thing was moving slowly toward me until it when on top of me and like hug me. I used to go to Church, when you go to church weird shit happens to you, I'm not even playing.

When the thing hugged me all I thought was "finally I will die",and again I was depress, all I could wish for was dying. It was a Sunday at 1am-3am, then I wake up and I was alone in my house. I took a razor blade, when to the bathroom and sliced my wrist, 4 times, the last time I cut it real deep, then I was in the bathroom bleeding to death, and I started to thing about my parents and brothers, and friends and said "God I'm really sorry for this, for being this weak, or I wanted to was to be able to live without fear, please don't let me die" Then suddenly I stop bleeding, I knew it was God's will, because I even put water on it to make it bleed, they my youngest brother came home and I open the door for him. He freak out and started to cry and called 911.

People don't believe in God and I don't blame them, but when you really look for him weird things happens and when you ask him for something, he provide, I don't go to church anymore , but its real worth it. When the shadow thing hugged me I knew I was going to die, bcuz from the moment it hugged me all i could thing off was killing myself, thanks to God today I'm already 20,have a beautiful girlfriend, a loving family and awesome friends.

Note: If mentioning God is against the rules please edit my post as I didn't know. Also im not trying to preach or anything, am just sharing a similar experience, thanks.

i salute you for sharing your personal experience

Funny you should mention this. There is a recurring dream that many people have suffered. It involves them believing that they have woken up from there dream only to find that they are paralysed and there is an evil looking old woman in the corner that almost imperceptively makes here way over to the persons bed only to climb up on their bed and kneel on their chest. The person then feels like they are being crushed and suffocated.

There has been documentaries on this shit. There are even some royals that have suffered these hallucinations and have been depicted on old paintings

Read about it here.

Mine wasn't being crushed but she would just attack me, I finally got rid of the dreams by doing lucid dreaming and choking the bitch. lol

Anyone who does suffer from sleep paralysis (there's a few in this thread), the easiest way to deal with it is remember that everything you are experiencing is a product of your own mind and can't hurt you. Generally, people "feel" things pressing down on them because they can't feel themselves breathing (I often felt like I was breathing "out of rhythm" with myself, like I was going to asphyxiate).

Instead of freaking out, clear your mind and imagine yourself drifting freely up and away, or imagine a calming scene and placing yourself in the middle of it. Both of these techniques will send you back into a peaceful dreaming state. The best part is that you will usually experience a "lucid dream" in which you can do pretty much whatever you want consciously. :p

One idea popped into my head - Kim Kardashian!

A person may wake up and find himself unable to move or speak as if he is frozen. He also may hear footsteps, see a ghost-like creature, or feel someone sitting on his chest. Throughout the history, people considered this phenomenon as work done by evil spirits. However, the modern science can explain the terrifying event as a Sleep Paralysis.

A Sleep Paralysis is possibly a hereditary disorder in which one experiences very frightening seconds or minutes of total body paralysis with little respiration and eye movements (1). A victim in this state feels awake, but he cannot move or speak (2). In addition to the immobility, the common symptoms include feeling choked or suffocated, hearing strange noises like footsteps and voices, seeing beings or dark shadows, and feeling an existence of someone in the room (1). Although these symptoms often direct the victims to believe in ghosts, mistransmission of neural signals in the brain causes Sleep Paralysis. When a person sleeps, his brain sends signals to inhibit any muscle contraction (3). If he comes into consciousness before the brain sends signals to activate muscle contraction, he cannot move his body, and consequently, become "paralyzed"(2).

While the modern neuroscience can describe the state of Sleep Paralysis as some errors of the neural transmission in the brain during REM sleep, a person who has seen or heard ghost-like figures/voices may easily believe that evil spirits fully controlled his entire body. However, the images or noises, which the victim believes that he has seen or heard, are most likely hallucinations; and hallucinations, too, can result from the brain activity. In the 1960's, the Canadian neurologist W. Penfield introduced that electrical stimulation of the temporal lobe can cause the auditory hallucinations in the wake state (5). The buzzing or ringing sounds in the ears and other auditory hallucinations are closely associated with the activity of the auditory cortex and involves the temporal lobe (5). During the early period of sleep paralysis, the activity of the temporal lobe increases significantly, sometimes inducing hallucinatory sense (5). Similarly, the visual cortex generates internal visual stimuli, causing the victim to "see" terrifying figures during the paralysis (5).

Until I started researching on this subject, I have believed that the total paralysis of a body is due to an evil taking absolute control over the body. However, the interactions between neurons in the brain can explain this seemingly mysterious phenomenon in a scientific way. Although the explanation is not complete yet, for there are many unclear processes about Sleep Paralysis, the current hypothesis appears to reject the possibility of ghosts on this matter. Of course, it is impossible to completely disprove the existence of "spirits", "minds", or "God" affecting one's behavior. Nevertheless, like Sleep Paralysis and SUNDS, many or the mysterious conditions and behaviors which are only explained in supernatural terms probably result from brain.

thats one of the things i found when searching about it, it seems like most events that occur with sleep paralysis when they see a figure it is always an old person and if it is a female she is sitting on their chest people reffer to her as the old hag and is more common. what i said really happened it could be evil spirits like some think or it could be hallucinations like others think. I think it is strange how when the Canadian doctor did his test what people saw were "terrifying figures" and everyone who sees things the figure is always an old man or an old lady.
