I just got Banned from Digg

So I saw a link-building technique here that said, in a nutshell, to go to Digg and scroll back to the old stories. Stuff 365 days or older. Click on the comments section for any story that has less than 50 comments. Check to see if the page has PR.

If it does, post a comment and drop your link (or two, or three) and ka-powie! You no have a do follow link with PR.

So I tried this out. Seemed to work well enough. Found a few comments pages with high pr that had less than 50 comments. That was encouraging, but then I soon found that these were few and far between.

Most had PR 0. MOST.

So I started dropping 3,4,5 links to various sites of mine in one swoop as it was taking forever to find these pages.

Just found out today that my account is no longer in existence. Looking though some of the pages I commented on I found that there are plenty of other comments that had links.

Trick is...they only had ONE link in any comment.

So I think I'll try this again, but I won't be using more than one link.

Did they ban the site you were linking or your account? I lose accounts everyday but rarely get my domain banned
 
Not to worry if you are on a dynamic ip just turn your modem off for 30 seconds restart your computer get a new IP and make a new account, also for your info DIGG is NOfollow so no real use using this old method anymore
 
Well I use digg to get traffic to some sites that I need traffic because of some hot current event buzz so I use tons of proxies to bump my site to page one. So I do burn a lot of ip's and accounts. It's a free site so I join again
 
@madinaz, have you successed in making all this automatic ? I don't know if there is an app that does all those things for you, if there is please tell us.

Well digg annihilation helps but wont get you to page 1 all by itself in my opinion. I just hire people to do it for me because getting on the main page will make even a garbage site big $$

i got banned too posted 2 comments on Obama thread with my links
and got banned:D
 
I've gotten a couple sales, good traffic, but they did ban my account.

so, I just leave comments on the sites where the post came. Some make you register, some don't, it's worth it to me and no one has had a problem with me leaving links in my comments, yet.

I got banned too few months ago while posted 20 diggs comment in a day.
 
Dude.. digg is nofllowo now this technique worked way back.
 
iglow, I just went to dig and opened a comments page to double check and the links there are currntly not showing red in Firefox SEO.

Looks like they are still ********.
 
Yea, Digg banned my account about a month ago. And they banned my domain.
