I Have decided!

Op I am with you on this. If you are serious about it I wish you all the luck.

I believe that all great things start out like this. Everyone makes fun of you and if you succeed then they shut up and try to lick your legs for a piece... The bad thing is that 99 out of 100 great things fail in the end.

It takes a lot of wisdom to plan a solid plan ...and research of course!

Dreamer,...prob 18 year old punk in a trailer. You can be "anyone on the Net"

Nonsense.

The best coders would be blackhatters because they will be able to fix all the possible holes.

I have had some bots coded by crackers, so it wont be cracked ever, because crackers know how it is going to be cracked. You get the point bud?

yes, they would be blackhaters, but it's really hard to find the blackhatters that we're talking about here on bhw. Bud.

Americans... :D I really hope that you are trolling otherwise you are the dumb person here. Even more, if you are sitting on 2,5m and want to invest in a social network I can bet that you haven't made this money yourself, unless you won it on a lottery.

I'm the last one to be nationalistic but frankly I haven't seen any major global Internet contributions coming from overseas. Did I miss something during the last two decades? Maybe WikiLeaks? Correct me if am wrong.

That said the OP has a hell of an uphill battle in front of him. Better look for some angel investors if he wants this project to have legs.

I will not be copying facebook at all. But yes I will be giving BHW free advertising once I get the website up and going.

Or just finish that all in one FB, Twitter, Youtube, and Myspace marketing software you were promising. You know, the one that's also gonna "easily blow xrumer out of the water"... damn lol you're like a German Uboat, is there anything you can't "blow out of the water"?

You know, even if you don't release some sort of IM god software (you won't), or give bhw free advertising on your 500 million user social platform, you could always just donate $97 to the forum. That's a great way to gain the respect and admiration of your peers and give back to the community.

Dude no one want to shit on your dreams (well I don't anyways), but you seem to be biting off way more then you can chew. We've seen threads like yours' hundreds of times here. People promising the moon but of course never delivering. So it's not to flame you, its to warn members who are easily dazzled by a guy with loads of confidence that they need to take everything with a grain of salt.

Good luck, hope you prove us all wrong.

Ok my last thread I posted what I should invest 10k in well I have finally figured it out. Starting the next big social network! I have already drew this plan up but cannot do all the work alone. I will need some coders to help me with coding (I already know how to code just cant do it all by myself) also will need people who are good brainstormers.

In my opinion this social network would blow Facebook out of the water. Anyone who would like to be apart of my team just shoot me a pm and ill explain all the details!

lol. So for $10k you're planning on getting a team of coders and another team of people to help you?

A good programmer will cost you $500/day. You'll be able to hire the people required for this for about a week before you run out of money.

OP, you and MC Hammer should get together for a JV.... I think he needs investors.

1) Very often, entrepreneurs are not understood by normal people
2) Google began in a garage with piece of code and no visit for the first week.
3) FB began in dorm room with a piece of code and no visit for the first week.
4) One month before launching, the twitter guy talked about a new site and people were laughing at him.
5) iztcorky, you should use those hate comments as fuel for your motivation

you are absolutely right but think of it like this technology wasnt that advanced that time and marketing was not upto its finest and look at todays world there is only one battle i can remember Big G Vs FB and its heating up :D

Are you serious? Facebook started out smaller than 10M I already have 1,000 people willing to sign up once it is done and then they are going to spread the word.

You are correct. FB started below 10M but do not forget that it was unique the time it was created.
If was so easy to blow FB everyone would do this. Not even google with google+ have done it.

If you want my opinion, if I had to spend 10K I would think a lot for an out of the box idea, totally unique rather than creating somthing that already exists.

I really wish good luck with your project.

Nick

The difference these people didn't set out to create the next facebook with $10k.

They started out as interesting projects to add something new and went from there.

The OP has come on a marketing forum and is talking about how he's going to BEAT facebook with $10k. THAT is why we're laughing at him.

If he said he had a unique idea for a new web 2.0 and he's hoping to build it up so it gets to be one of the big players, then we would wish him good luck.

I don't think Google+ have beated facebook, so itscorky you must clarify how you are smarter than Google+ or what your detailed plan is, or people will still don't trust you.
