it is uncool to pay someone less than a working wage. remember everyone will eventually have to pay for the stuff they do that they know is wrong. just because you can doesn't mean you should

Are all people from USA really such ignorants as you and many other in this thread?
The amount of money he pays is a fair rate in the country where the employee is from.

In my country the minimum wage is approximately $25 per hour, and in addition must be payed a lot of fee's for health care, vacation support (12% supplement), insurance etc.
It all sums up to around $35 per hour.

So should I call all employers in USA, which have employees at a lower rate than $35/h a bad person ?

Dont call them Slaves. In south Asian, and African countries, its quite a good money poor people. :) you see, these people work by remaking the computers or by buying second hand computers that people in western country throw away. They dont have resources, so, this amount, which is small for people in europe and other western countries, help them to feed their poor families.

Before calling anyone slave - even for fun. Just imagine yourself in their places. :)

Sounds like a good contact. I found someone for 1,5 dollar / hour and felt like i've did a good deal...

Go on =)

Hey, I'm from the USA. ;)

I think your example explains this perfectly. In your country, a job that paid $13.50 per hour would be considered illegal, and the person who had such a job would probably be poor.

However, in the USA, college graduated people usually get jobs in that range to start out.

Doesn't mean that the employers of those graduates are cruel slave-drivers. It just shows that monetary value is subjective from one culture to the next.

Don't call them slaves guys, they're human too. And they'll leave you when you're done teaching them (got smart).

5$ is quite a investment.

I look for someone who will work 12hours for 2$.

Jk but great that you're helping maybe later he can build his own site and make his own money.

Great send me a pm i have some work for you, i'll pay $5 for 8hrs contact me

I hate it when people speak without having an idea about the economic situation of a certain country...
The minimum wage in Sri Lanka is 43 EUR, that is ~$62. Now you do the math, this guy is paying him almost double than that, what the hell is wrong with that? Have you considered that maybe that guy receiving $5/day feels lucky?

A lot of people in this thread realized how totally stupid they are after they read your post. :) Congratulations! :D

Yeah don't feel bad exploiting someone... Nice mentality...

To be honest you are not exploiting them.

Just think about it, here are some basic stats:

Minimum Hourly Salary in USA - 9.2$ (if I am not mistaken)
Minimum Hourly Salary in Bulgaria - 1.5$
Normal Hourly Salary in Cuba - Arround 0.5$ if I am not mistaken.
Normal Hourly VA Salary from Phillipines/India - 1.5-2$

What I am trying to say is that is how economics work, some countries are richer, some countries are poorer.

Ofcourse It does not make economic sense to employ people from the USA, when for the same hourly cost you can hire a team of 5 somewhere else in the World.

You are not exploiting those people, you are helping them find a job.

Here is another example, in Phukket(Thailand) a normal sized pizza + a coke costed me like 3-4$, and as far as I am aware this would cost you 15-20$ in USA.

So please stop making retarded statements and enjoy the cheap labour.
