Dude just use Ghost blog or Medium...A lot easier, and Ghost has many awesome themes

Just about every theme is responsive nowadays, lots of free themes on http://wordpress.org
You can see how your theme looks using this free online tool, just copy and paste your url into the box and it shows what your site looks like on different screen sizes.
