Disgusting...paypal sucks...period. That's insanely and grossly unfair man i'm sorry it happened. Its something that could've happened to anyone. Its frustrating when people are on here giving advice on your situation in hindsight...lol knowing how it worked out... when you were acting in good faith and this douche bag screwed you. I believe they will let this die. You have the truth on your side! Debt collectors aren't the original debtor so you don't owe THEM shit anyway. You'll be good.

Oh damn, so you're in Europe? I’m not sure how debt collectors work over there, but in the U.S., they’re not the original creditor, so once the creditor hands off the contract to a debt collector, you’re not legally obligated to pay them unless they can prove they have the right to collect. Its a bit of a loophole if you know how to use it.
