I got my domain name *Edit requested by OP*.com, what's next?

how about starting a site listing podcasts? as for why to never post your domainname is that every one capable of googling whois or typing whois in his/her terminal will get your real name...

cheers

I don't have much knowledge on how to find a good niche and choose the right domain

Then start with that. Is important.

I know how to create content and build links...but I prefer to hire people for that on fiverr BH or elsewhere

those are not links. those are shit 95% of the time.

No idea what makes you think im a newbie!

you asked this questions. it doesn't matter how old you are or since when you do something. it only matters what results you're capable of obtaining.

I wanted it all my way or no way and I finally did it and the outcome was even better than I expected, and it's earning me money every single day but unfortunately not enough for a living (3k a month out of which 10-20% is net profit sometimes less)

profit is all that matters. you're not making $3k/month, you're making that 10-20%.

Stop telling me to read because I read enough, how about you give me actual and relevant information on how to set up everything.

Why would i do that? What's in it for me. Pay me $100/hour and I'll give you consulting over skype if you're that lazy and willing to give up. Then again I don't guarantee you'll be able or willing to implement what I teach you because it requires hard work. Lots of it.

Also I can only teach you stuff I know and answer questions. If you don't ask proper questions the answers won't help you much. I can't put ideas in your head and I can't pump 10years of my experience into your mind in a few hours. The reason I'm good at stuff is not because I know the big picture but because I know the hundreds of tiny details that make or break the big picture.

Note the bold text. You want people to give you stuff. That's your problem. You don't ask to be taught, you ask to be given something. Like knowledge is something. Knowledge is not something you can be given. Knowledge is something you seed, you take care of every single day, you grow and you harvest when you least expected you'd need that particular "crop".

I have wrote 1000+ posts on this forum. Most are not useful for you probably. Some are. How many have you read? How many of my threads have you read? How many good posts from other members have you read? You could have posted a thread titled "post your top 10 favorite threads/posts on BHW that helped you and the story of how they helped you" and people would have gave you useful answers. At the beginning of February a guy from BHW told me how he took one of my threads and used it as a blueprint for his SEO company and set the goal to make $100k by the end of the year but went so well that he now expects $1mil by the end of the year. Another guy posted a thank you thread about how stuff I wrote helped him understand things and he is now rich. That's stuff I know because it involved me somehow. I am sure there are many people who made it because some other members here helped them in one way or another. Even I, though I learn very little from other people, learned useful things or found important value in other's posts or by discussing with others or by analyzing what they do - just to name a few and in no particular order: phpbuilt, jazzc, scritty, seo20, BassTrackerBoats, oxonbeef, Vincent (AMR creator), Eli (bluehatseo.com), Earl (syndk8.com), Fantomaster. For example I never talked with Fantomaster, I'm sure he doesn't even know I exist, yet I learned invaluable things from him just by watching a couple of videos with him and reading some .txt files he wrote. Anybody can learn something great from great people. The truly awesome thing though is to learn stuff from people that are unsuccessful and nobody would give a piss about. There's a lesson awaiting you in everything you experience and in every person you interact with. Question is, will you choose to learn the lesson or will you choose to feel superior and point your finger at him?!

I know microniche is a good way to earn money but I'm not sure it's the best way for me. I could make a website that makes $300 and flip it for $2000 but it's gonna consume me, and if I make too many sites, too many niches, too much money, I will get the google hammer

Microniche = micromoney. Also is unoptimized work. Much more optimized to make slightly larger sites.

I do also read Warrior

I made an income stream literally from scratch with no help from anyone, I found my own suppliers, did not use any forums or advice, and it's making $3000 a month and it's less than 40 sales away from top rated seller status. I know it's not worth even the time I put into it (a LOT) because profits are joke but damn you can't call me a noob

can you put the link to that thread, maybe I can learn something from it

This is exactly what I was asking for, just in a different form of question, I had no idea where to even start looking for such a list so you gave me an idea and I'll start another thread tomorrow asking for that list. and you basically read my mind because I just wanted to PM you again asking for blueprint

There is this tutorial called Autoblog Book from Aspkin (author of eBay Stealth) which I wanted to buy but wasn't sure if still good after Penguin and Panda update. I think I should learn a LOT from it because it's not theory as you said, it's practice, actual blueprint. I would Love to find more such ebooks/tutorials/threads that will help me begin

The first one obviously, which is what I do for the past couple years

Microniche = micromoney. Also is unoptimized work. Much more optimized to make slightly larger sites.

I understand that MNS is micro money but if you have 100 of them, then this is serious cash although it will be a huge task to mantain and rank them all but on the other hand hot niches like weight loss, dog training, recipes, etc. I mean, I have no chance, the competition is just huge, and I will compete against the worlds best SEO minds who know every single bit in this industry; suppliers, services, google updates, everything... I mean, it's gonna take years before I can see a real income. I don't even think about making a million not even half a million a year. Just a decent income that will sustain me and my other offline projects ($20k/yr net is absolutely enough)

First you learn that you should never share your domain names with others, especially on forums and such.

Second you pray a lot. Won't help making money but you need lots of divine help considering you've started with such a bad question like "How do I make this site an full time money earning machine?".

That is the question every single noob unwilling to work asks. Obviously there's no easy answer to it or we would have lots of rich noobs, God save our souls from that. That would be horrible.

Now you may say I'm an asshole and not helpful. You're right! But then again your question is stupid. You're on a forum with 842,000 indexed pages. You could have read a bit around here. You could have asked a specific question. You could have went and figured out ways in which you can make money and see which one you like. Instead you say something like this:

"I bought myself a hammer. How do I build a skyscraper now?"

Nice One MadOctupus :)

Now you may say I'm an asshole and not helpful. You're right! But then again your question is stupid.

I meant to congratulate you on 1000 posts on the thread you started about it, but was too busy. The above quote pretty much sums up why I enjoy reading your posts - you tell it like it is.

This post is with all the BS aside -- I know members on here give newbies a hard time but its only because there are so many of them constantly opening up threads like this. If people took their time to actually research what they had to do to create a "full time money earning machine" and then asked more specific questions, people would be more than willing to help you out.

1) Making money online is NOT easy. Yes, you may get to sit at home "on your lazy ass 24/7" but that in no way makes the work simple. I think I stress far more working online than I did offline ever -- but you keep working towards that success online and eventually (hopefully) you'll get there. If you're not willing to put in the effort to establish an online venture or you don't have the money to pay someone else to do it for you, drop out of the game right now.

2) If you decide to stick with it, than you now need to pick a niche for your domain. Since your domain is not a keyword, you can create a brand from it and start a website anyways. Pick a niche that would be appropriate for that domain -- or just pick one you have some slight interest in.

3) Do some keyword research and build content on your website. Do some more research and use SEO to move your website up in rankings for respective keywords. You may also want to market your website socially (not may, you SHOULD use social media marketing).

4) Monetize your website using ads / affiliate offers.

I don't have time to go into more detail and I shouldn't have to. I've given you your basic steps and now you should know what you have to search for to find more information on each step. Good luck!

why do the dumbest buckheads get the most replies on their threads.

keep being lazy... so i have to go and search through m threads because you can't...

here it is, lazy ass. these are the more useful ones. there are also posts in other people's thread but wont waste my time to find those. i know one was started by user seo20.

- read ALL posts. Twice, three times, or as many times you need to understand. All of them are outdated but if you manage to understand the principles behind the strategies you're game. If you don't want to read all, at least read SEO Empire.

Also, SEOmoz has some good posts.

If you don't understand it isn't shit info, you're just not at the proper level to understand and to get there I am afraid is not very straight forward. Also always look at post dates and remember that if it is outdated might not be 100% accurate or might not work without minor or major changes/twists.

Oh, and learn how to code (algorithms, data structures, computer science fundamentals) and programming language or two.

I can't thank you enough, I bookmarked all your your links and will make sure to read every single word but before that I will get a new keyword domain set up wordpress, get some articles in it and then move on with your links so that I can apply what I learn; if I just read read read then I just forget it all; and if I practice while reading, it's much easier to learn

I learned C# and SQL for years in high school but forgot much of it, I still remember some basic coding though

I'm 21 already, I know Ryan Eagle became a multi millionaire at just 19 and many other marketers started at 13 or so afaik, so I feel a bit too old learning SEO at this age

P.S. I can't swim

good to see that not every one has got negative aspects, many people have got great answers here.

Today I read your post Advanced WordPress SEO Optimization and I understand what you are saying, I don't know yet how to implement it because I haven't yet touched wordpress but I will get my hosting and wordpress up tomorrow I believe and I will practice some of your advice, just play around with the code and stuff, I don't expect to make any money in the first couple months

Do you think 2-3 hours a day of reading and practicing for 1-2 months will be enough to get in the game?

By the way, I noticed that you always say Google hates Wordpress, but I can't build such a dynamic site all by myself from scratch; do I have any chance then?

ridiculous.

This guy asks a really stupid question where you can find an answer in literally 5 seconds and gets 73 responses.

I asked a specific question not too long ago, and got one useless response. One.

Do you think 2-3 hours a day of reading and practicing for 1-2 months will be enough to get in the game?
A great question!!!!! :D
But IMO, humble of course, make it 23 hours a day and 12 months (at least, or years) and you may just be able to get in.

Seriously, it's a topic that only you can decide how long it would take you... unless of course you join school and leave the judgement to the examiners there.

Any more questions to your attentive audience?

BTW, why are you asking unknown people if you have any chance (of ???success???) and do whatever you're not going to do anyway? lol

Uh because it's short and it's a dictionary word?
I regd it only for resell purpose never thought to develop it

lolwtf? you will never make any money doing this, your instincts are as slow as a heroin addict.

Ok ok guys
so I got domain and hosting
gonna install wordpress in a minute
next get a good graphic designer and a copywriter from fiverr or BH
and then traffic
how do i get traffic?

So NOW you are in fact going to develop it....? Did you do research before starting this thread?

My grandmother used to tell me this story: Hope you'd relate to it.:D

A man travels earths and heavens... (somehow he can do it... it's in the story and my granny told me, so believe it:)). One place he sees another person standing inside a cave, with a huge pot of gold on his head. He looked quite tired and aged, and this first person thought may be it was due to all the search he did for the gold.

Our hero asks that person whether he can have the pot of gold, and the person tell him he can but he would regret immediately after. Blinded with the 'glitter', our hero insists. So on his third insistence, the person says, 'OK here you have it.' Immediately the pot jumps upon our hero's head. Our hero shouts it's not gold, it's loads of crap... the person tells him that all his life he was an idiot and only followed his own stupid ideas and never listened to the wise people's advices. So all that stupidity was turned in to the pot.

Then he asked the wisest among them all to how he can be relieved... the wise gave him a boon telling that to other idiots the crap would seem as if gold. And when someone requests you 3 times to give it to him, you would be free... and after standing there for eons, he ultimately found peace...:)

End of story.

Hope you'd be able to find the hidden moral in it.
:D

The story, IMO, is not unrelated to this interesting thread.
