I got a negative seo - spam backlinks

Disavow the bad backlinks and try to build more quality and authority links. But getting rid of those negative links aren't an easy task, it requires your time and patience. If your niche and site worth it, then do it or just leave the site and start a new one with well plotted link strategy.

I would document all the links and put them in a .txt file. Report it to google. Report it to matt cutts, chirp him on twitter(jk) I would tweet him a lot though. Create a google groups discussion, I heard google workers reply some times. In other words, do everything you can. Fuck everything about negative seo.
 
There are services for sale here on BHW for removing spam links like OP mentioned. Haven't used them, but you may want to PM some of the sellers with your situation.

True but you got no other options, Clearly OP's site is not some big authority site which can absorb damage so need to disavow crap links...

OP you need to do good research, find such links, make proper report and then use in webmaster for disavow such links... Also start making quality links, you may increase speed then your normal ones... You not gonna see results in just few days... Normal time span is 21 days or more... If done properly you can see expect ranking back pretty soon may be better then earlier...
 
build more links using generic anchor text , read more and click here or naked url .. write new content and update your site every other day , hopefully your site will absorb the crapy links

Define Legitimate neg SEO - Surely anything designed to make a competitors score go down is the same as this technique?

I was in the same situation, disavow did work for me but it doesn't mean it will work for you.
 
Disvow can only help u and if ur website not deindexed start buliding new quality links.

Depends really on how much the site means to you, can you not build another site and run it in parallel - that way if the site doesnt recover, you have the new one coming up already.
 
One of my websites also got hit by Negative SEO but attacker don't have much luck as my site has virtual authority. :)
 
My sites were hit by negative SEO and the only way I saw recovery was using a link removal service. Disavow never worked for me and just about everyone else that have used the disavow.

After reducing the negative links my link profile came back to natural levels and I was all good. I used a service called linkdelete but they were not cheap.

You are in for a long battle but its worth it knowing that dumb spam campaigns can be reversed.

Negativeseo will hurt you more if you don't have many links though
 
Collect all your backlinks from webmaster tool and disavow it. If you are not pro at GWT. Hire a good reputation management company to get this job done immediately.

Disavow worked for me.
 
You should disavow them ASAP.

Also, use the Google Webmasters Tool to contact Google about the issue.

Personally, I haven't been hit with neg SEO, but this is at least the beginning ;)
 
Disavow has worked for me in the past, but I think TropicalSun is right that it works best for bs anchors such as pharma, etc
