I fkn love March!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a good idea to eat less meat (aim for decent cuts), but vegans can suffer from a lack of B12, which can affect your wellbeing (look up B12 deficiency).

For NEUSA... not sure if you guys felt it this year like I did... but this was one of the most brutal, relentless, cold, miserable winters I've ever been through.
This weather makes me want to scream. Every time I turn around, it's snowing again. I miss the beach. I miss my daily walks because I'm afraid that I am going to break my neck walking in this constant mess. I hate March, and January and February too.

luckily many doctors have shown proof that not only are marlboro cigarettes mild and good for you. but aspartame is a good thing to ingest.

p.s. how do the vegan animals (elephants, hippos, cows, giraffes) get those much needed nutrients without snacking on turtles and frogs?

Cows have a different digestive system, better at digesting plants etc. Assume its the same for the others lol, strange comparison. Vegan diet definitely not good for muscle

Lol at the people that think eating animal byproducts is essential. You guys need to get educated and stop listening to bs people with ulterior motives. Same way seo gurus make money off noobs. The next time you think that a vegan is lacking any essential nutrient or cant possibly be strong, just look at a fucking gorilla. That 'poor malnourished vegan' gorilla can rip you to shreds with one finger.

A little bit of news for you, a gorilla is not a human.

I have personally only ever knew one vegan, and to be honest, he looked seriously fucking ill everyday.

Great. :)

I must confess I'm so used to eating meat daily, that I haven't come to the point yet to go vegan or vegetarian. However, considering that eating meat is without a question NOT necessary for healthy living (I'm working with some of the smartest MD's and PhD's in the medical field, and they certainly have the evidence to back up that statement), but also one of the biggest contributors to climate change, it's an excellent goal to go vegan. I'll do that in august, when I visit my business partner in Portland, Oregon. For now I just don't have the time due to business to change any habits. Already have a hard time to keep up my training schedule.

Kudos to you!

Just eat healthy, if you need learn how to , look for paleo diet. That's it.... there is same food what all fitness people eat, me as well! :)

Firstly, a vegan diet does not provide all the vitamins and minerals we require. Vitamin B12 has already been mentioned several times and a B12 deficiency is a serious matter. Vegans need to supplement their diet in order to get the B12 their diet doesn't provide.

Secondly, your gorilla argument is nonsense. It's a different species, which has evolved a different physiology, digestive system and anatomy and therefore has different dietary requirements.

You may as well say humans can survive on just grass because that's what cows do.

You're right - someone needs to 'get educated'.

I believed that too, even was on paleo diet for a long time. Don't get me wrong, it's not THAT bad... but the evidence isn't in favor of paleo, at all. Better go with scientific consensus than anecdotal evidence from people who don't know enough about the science behind nutrition and take studies out of context to fit their view. (I'm specifically targeting people like Dave Asprey with that comment)

I'm not a fan of anecdotal evidence, but since most people have an affinity for it... look up Jim Morris, a vegan bodybuilder. :)

Then compare him with Phil Heath, good game

I know you believe that's a good argument, but it really isn't. :)

I never said that Jim Morris is the "best" bodybuilder or anything, just that he constitutes an argument in favor of vegan. Of course, that's still anecdotal, thus worthless.

However, the scientific consensus is that vegan diet is healthy, if properly done. Considering the incredible harm done to animals, and the fact that meat production is one of the biggest factors in climate change, I think it's simply logical to become vegetarian/vegan. And I still say that as a crazy austrian eating meat with almost every meal :/ so it basically goes against my own biased agenda.

Vegans should supplement vit B12, that's correct. But you can create it synthetically, as far as I know, without the need for animal products. So, it really isn't an argument in favor of meat.

Great story man, im glad your eating good.

Many of us have gotten so use to feeling like shit we think its normal but when you eat healthy you see how your truly supposed to feel.

Hopefully ill make the change soon.

I know a vegan power lifter so quitting animal products and building muscle can certainly be done. I've been meat free in the past, it's a sort of 'clean' feeling.

Being a filthy Anarcho I've got tons of vegan friends, one of whom has written an amazing vegan cookbook called 'Another dinner is possible'.

I wasn't making an argument in favour of eating meat. What made you assume I did?

If you read my first post in the thread you'll see I said I was a vegetarian for well over a decade and have also been a vegan.

I am not making a case for or against a vegan or vegetarian diet, everyone's diet choice is their own business. But there are deficiencies vegans will experience without dietary supplements. And some of them are dangerous.

I'm sorry, I must confess I haven't read your first post in the thread. Flying over threads is a bad habit of mine. ^^

I've been vegetarian since childhood,I don't what happened but the meat texture disgusts me
The worst part about this is how pale I am,started taking B12 and all that crap since 16 however only noticed slight change not that there was any problem except pale skin
