Guys, I feel so stupid.

I have been an affiliate of CJ for the longest time but I still can't get sales! I run a college blog that gets about 1000 organic views per month. I have tried creating article series to get more traffic (it works but still no clicks/signups).

I have heard that selling them thru newsletters work better. I don't maintain a newsletter because I don't know what I would be sending my people!

What are your suggestions?

I have google adsense but I follow google's rules (3 ads per page).

I would get a job, IM is a real waste of time and pain in this ass cuz you gotta work around the clock

1000 unique views a month is actually really low let's take into consideration I'm guessing you don't know a lot about bots so maybe a third of those or a quarter of those visitors are actually bots to your site so in total you might have about 600 visitors if were being generous which means you have about 25 visitors a day. One of my sites on a particular day has about 1000 unique visitors and off of that I may get 0-10 sales usually about five on average on a product that retails about $100.

If you've been running this blog for a long time I would say it depends on how expensive the product you're offering is and then I would go on to optimize the site more for conversion make sure you're funneling your users down to your offer. also don't be afraid to try different products from CJ make sure you split test different things.

college students dont have money lol

I was a college student and I had money . and no , not from parents .

Maybe try a different action plan :) Try using CPA offers usually "win free iphone/etc.". I am sure clg students will be interested in wining free stuff. You can also try student related CPA offers. Click bank products related to making money online will also work.

You are wasting your time. Students only spend their money on cheap nasty beer and pot. Then complain how badly done to they are and expect others to work to fund their Bum hole lifestyle, whilst looking down at the people who pay for them who are in shit jobs. Whilst they keep their heads in the clouds of what a success they are going to be with their worthless degree.

You want to make money? Stand outside college selling pot and pissy beer.

Best converting offers for students :

1. Free giveaways / email submits ( test out with page popup saying "Blog in cooperation with blabla is giving away free Iphone`s bla bla, you`ll think of something ).
2. As mentioned above Sidebar ad ( if you can make it floating so it can follow them as they read trough the articles even better ) : student loans + work abroad / visa offers niche.
3. Coupons section on your blog. Students love discounts and since you are in CJ you can find various of discounts / coupons for various shops and businesses.

Make some research, test different offers see what works what not.

After you setup all of this, than concentrate on getting more traffic. Sales/Leads will come in time.

Just my 2 cents... good luck

Then again my harderst lesson was, "If it don't make any money, something is wrong somewhere" until you fix that something; so much can happen in between. I think you should have a speculative insight on your audience and work to increase your traffic in the long run. Close the sale from your content, make sure you reach out for the wallet or you are dead.

Yep, I think the same, bcs students usually do not have a lot of money to spend.
