Finding validation through others rarely end well. And happiness, along with other emotions like sadness, motivation, depression, excitement. They're all fleeting. It's unnatural to be happy all the time. Lower your expectations and find things that interest you instead. Sometimes interesting things leads to happiness. And you should be grateful enough for that.
If everything seems boring for you, try something extraordinary, like bungee jumping or swimming with sharks or something. That should knock the boredom right out of you. I'm not kidding btw, this is something I do as well.
The thing is with life, there’s value in pondering it's meaning, but sometimes too much pondering leads to overthinking. The world is too noisy as it is, and being lonely just means you're occupied in your own thoughts, instead of being overloaded with others'.
That's my two cents.
