I started to build an authority site about three months ago and I've invested about $300 on article writing and link building, but I have zero earning till now. It is an online article directory about health and English is not my mother tougue, so I am unable to write high quality articles myself. If you have health related niche sites and need contextual backlink, you can submit your articles. Guest posts are warm welcome. As long as your article is original and quality, it will be accepted. Any seo advice of my site is deeply appreciated as well. My site is

Your site seriously needs to be re-designed, it looks totally unprofessional.

You can't simply wake up one day and decide to build an article directory and think you're going to be successful. This is especially true if you aren't fluent in the language of your web site. That's just bad business sense.

If you wanted to succeed in a venture such as this you'd need 10s of thousands of dollars and have a full time content development staff.

Agreed. The site looks so bad I doubt anyone would stay on it for very long. I'm not trying ot be critical here but you need to clean it up and make it look professional to establish some trust with the readers. If English is not your native language then I would recommend choosing another topic that you are familiar with. If you have passion for a topic you are more likely to have success with it. A site related to articles written in English is not something you are an expert at so leave it to the experts.

Dunno about advice, but you're surely gonna get some negative SEO done on your domain for free:P

Agreed on the 1995 retro amateur hour look of the site. The shortest route to fixing it is to get a professional looking html template or WP theme to quickly renovate the site visually, and perhaps have somebody knowing fluent English go in and edit all the text, including the article titles.

When you already invested $300 in articles, i would invest another $50 - $200 for a nice unique appealing design.
And do a little bit more linkbuilding from high pr site. And i would do that constant and not the spam way :)

Regards

Thanks for your advice. I know it is not professional enough and I plan to earn some money back and will hire someone to re-design it and outsource article writing. My site was broken yesterday and I removed a plugin that caused this problem. I use wordpress and Heatmap theme to build it. I know it's a long way to build an authority site and I did register this domain for three years, so I will continue to try to make it more professional. You will be highly appreciated if you can look it again as it was broken yesterday.

your site is seemed to be broken in firefox, fix the onpage seo issues to even think about starting to rank,

Thanks. I checked it and removed the plugin that caused this. I installed it about three days ago and didn't check it.

Thanks for you advice. Article writing is the biggest problem for me now. I will outsource article writing in the near future when I get some money back. Currently I munually rewrite PLR articles.

I do use wordpress and heatmap theme to build it. It was broken due to a plugin and I removed it now. You may recheck it. Thanks.

Thanks for your kind advice. I may re-design it when I get some money back. I outsourced some link building activity, like PR distribution. As you know I will not build spam links because I want to make it an authority site. I will buy high quality backlinks later.

Hey Thanksyouall

A little tip for you. If you look to the right you will see a quote bubble. Click it on every post you want
to reply to. Then scroll to the bottom and click "Reply to thread" This is better for replying to multiple
post.

As far as your website goes. I think it is in need of themeforest really bad. Check on the downloads section for
free templates.

Cheers
Mike

Dude your site still doesn't look professional - CTR Theme is great for micro niche sites - but for an authority sites its not suited at all... better look for a clean, professional and neat responsive theme like Montezuma for example.
And by all means get rid of these flowers -they look horrible! Had a quick look at your articles and they look really good - i think you are on the right track just change your theme and keep on doing what you have done...
