I discovered how algorithm work

cccc.png

likes, dislikes, comments, external views are all bullshit...
all you need is a unique idea that hasn't been done before...

CTR 26.5%, retention 86.1%. I had multiple videos with similar stats, why are they not being picked up by algorithm and pushed by YouTube? Is it just bad luck or what?

u have to start getting views from search first. include keyword in your title... and wait for couple of days...

for video below 20 seconds, you need more views first, also below 20 seconds should have atleast 95% retention rate, below are bad. My 20s video getting pushed about 10 days later after getting like 8k views external with over 90% retention rate

My 30-40 second videos have similar stats, they're not getting picked up by the algorithm either.

How do you even get 8k external views. If I share it on Reddit I get 50 external views max.

This is literally the worst advice I ever heard. It's not 2016, no one is doing SEO.
dude... when i said you need to get some views and clicks from search i didn't mean seo, for a new channel with new video you need to add keyword in your title for the algo to know what your video is about based on your title, and then when the algo sees that people are clicking and watching from search then it tests your video on other sections of youtube like home page and watch next...

but i didn't look closely at your screen shot... now that i did... you don't need search clicks because you already have browse views... and also your video is only 2 days old so give it some time... if your NICHE is big enough to get more impressions and it maintains ctr and watch time it will explode. GOOD LUCK

this is one of my videos that's doing well right now

you can clearly see how when the algo saw that people are watching from search after 3 days it gave a little push and then stabilized for 7 days and now it's going up...
EDIT: this video is 45 seconds long...
EDIT: also this channel is only 10 days old and already got 100 subs, and videos are doing well.... i made about 20 channels before and i failed in all of them. so this one is my best. fingers crossed it gets monetized. can't wait to see some $$$...

Congrats ! You are doing good in your niche ! That's how algorithm work :) search views can help algorithm pick up a lot more quickly, i have like 7 recent videos that got a lot of search and algorithm pick up instantly, wonderful ! Community post help a lot also

Your screenshot shows you getting pushed. That straight green line going up is the proof. You are getting picked up within day one. Keep doing whatever you have been doing and scale it somehow.

I had one video that got 200k views. I didn't manage to replicate that.

How often do you upload? You got any subs from this video?

I get an initial push and then it flatlines after 24-48 hours. It happened with multiple videos. I don't know if it's going to pick up later or it's pretty much dead already. I feel like it shouldn't be this way especially with that kind of CTR and retention.

i don't have upload schedule, sometimes 2 videos per day sometimes one video per 3 days. the channels is 10 days old and i uploaded 6 videos.

i think the keyword is "NEW" it's so straightforward that we just try to complicate it for ourselves! the mistake i used to do with about 20 channels i created before is that i used to just copy other channels... so if the videos/video/channel is new enticing enough then obviously people wont click on your video. people are bored and they want something new!

i don't know why YOUR videos are not getting the results your want because i don't know YOUR videos. but anybody can tell you if the video isn't enticing enough people won't click.

Let me ask you, what is the theme of your channels?

Do you think posting multiple videos a day helps or hurts? I'm talking about both regular videos and shorts.

i don't think so, the algo doesn't care about, likes, dislikes, external views, description, your upload schedual, the length of your videos.... and so on. non of that matters, the only thing that matters is how a video preforms when it's shown to people, and by performance i mean ctr and watch time. and now they added a new feature that asks the user after they watch your video to rate it on how enjoyable it was. that's it. you can upload a 100 videos all at once. and it won't make a difference (FROM THE ALGO PERSPECTIVE).
go to creator insider channel and watch the videos they made about the algorithm.
