I discovered how algorithm work

You are right that CTR is king
I agree but only to an extend. CTR is KING if you get like 100k impressions and you have let's say a 15% CTR for sure. It means that you are converting a big percentage of those impressions into views. HOWEVER, I am 100% certain that retention outweights CTR in every aspect.

Let's say YouTube sends your video to 100 people aka impressions and your CTR is 30% but your retention is really low because you baited way too hard, it will stop pushing your video, definitely.

On the other hand, if your CTR is low let's say 4% BUT the retention is high around 70-80% your video will get pushed non stop.

Why you ask? because a high retention keeps people on the platform but a high CTR with little to no retention doesn't.

The ideal would be high CTR and high retention of course, then you own the platform.

but overall, everytime retention wins against CTR and there is no one that can prove me wrong, it's facts.

Also there is something that literally is a gamechanger but almost nobody talks about it.

If you have this kind of retention which I have in most cases of my videos, YouTube will push your video like there is no tomorrow. You will get 1000s and Millions of views if you exceed the typical stats and YouTube will even tell you this.

LOL somehow these 2 video are link together, if 1 gain views, the others will go down.

CTR is king because it can make algorithm push you in 1-2 days. Even with 100% retention but with like 2-3% CTR, nothing will happen, you may need a longgggg time to make them push...
High CTR = faster push. However that low CTR only apply to new channel with like below 1k impresisons, if you have 10k impresisons with 2-3% CTR, u still get push

I have noticed it happen on my channel in the past, check the "suggested videos" section on both videos and you will find something strange.

Both videos are suggested each others...
Well i dont want to mess with these videos because if i change 1, both may go down or both may go up... i'm better leave them there...
I think it's just work like opponent videos, similar title, my video is better, they get nothing, my video is worse, they gain views. Now i have my own opponent videos in my own channel XD, 1 must be sacrificed

Yes, it is best to leave them the way they are right now.

Btw I got a new theory.

Endscreens can hurt your new video? why?

Let's say you have one video that's getting good views, video A.

Now you upload a new video, fresh, video B.

You put the fresh new video B as endscreen on old video A.

Now everyone that wants to watch the new video B, clicks on endscreen from video A but also sees the same video B in suggested on the right sidebar.

If they click on the endscreen, your new video B will get many impressions from video A but the CTR is extremely low because no one clicks on the video on the side because they click on the endscreen.

Am I right with this theory?

Dont use endscreen to try pushing new video, it may kill both videos, just wait till the fresh one buffed by algorithm and nearly die first, well atm i dont use endscreen anymore, after several testings i feel endscreen is just bad... if they like your video, they will go to your channel, not from endscreen anyway...

Hmmm the moment i post video below 1 min = entire channel only recommend it, posting higher than 1 min require atleast 70% retention or else it will NOT push

How many days after i publish video (lets say its high ctr ) it receivrs an algorithm boost ? Does the age and contebt of the channel play role in this ? Unlisted method still works ? Thx

bro I 100000% agree.

Look as soon as I removed all endscreens from my videos, instant spike browse features!!

So tip @ everyone DO NOT use endscreen on NEW videos.

If u need to buff the views at the start, use community tab, it's really good and it even find better video for viewers than from algorithm
My video doesnt run sadly, i see a dim part in my video that wont make algorithm start so i use community to fix the problem

Yeah will do that once I unlocked the feature.

But on my FORBIDDEN list is definetly End screen views on top now. They will literally kill your channel.

I see a lot of viewers say they cant enjoy my video because of the endscreen lmao :weep::D
But you can try as Beluga channel, add like 5 seconds black screen at the end and use an Endscreen that is best for viewers, may help, may not, i use it 2 times, doesnt see any different anyway...

Nah I won't touch Endscreen ever again. My video is going crazy the SECOND I removed all Endscreens. If you add 5 seconds black screen you will have many people leave the video before it ends and your retention will go down. I do not see the point in End screen views anymore.

Look as soon as I removed endscreen went from 0 views per 60 minutes to 105.
