I discovered how algorithm work

Luck play a very big part here, same video same title, nothing happens in first 2 days, delete, reupload again, algorithm start kicking in lmao
YouTube showed the video to a better handful of people that responded well to the video. It all depends on what people do when they see your video. Do they click and watch? Or do they skip it.

Hi, PaddyVu. This question is for other people in this thread too:

I've read through a lot of the posts in this thread. Are you saying that if I post a really good video on a forum or subreddit and keep it posted there, and it gets thousands of views from there because it's so good, that it automatically won't ever go viral or get a large number of organic views simply because it was successful and good when posted on a subreddit or forum?
When you post a video, YouTube shows your video to a handful of people that they think will like the video. If those people respond well, then the video will continue to grow, if not, then it dies down. Simple as that. YouTube shows the video on the homepage, in suggested tab etc.

So posting the video on a subreddit or forum will not damage its chance of going viral in any way? Earlier in the thread PaddyVu said that if it was posted on a subreddit and not removed from that subreddit after 100 or so views, YouTube would not pick it up/help it get shown, if I understood correctly, no?

It is indeed a very good result but your view to subscribe ratio aka conversion is pretty low. 800 views and only 1 subscriber from it, you should work on that. Other than that keep being consistent and you will have a great channel in no time.
you got any suggestions for increasing interaction? I'm still at a consistent 27% CTR but struggling with subs and comments. Likes are fine tho.

had this issue on my biggest channel as well when I was getting ~50k views a day. Usually the missing data fixes itself after a day or two, nothing to worry about.

I wake up today and suddenly a video of my channel got revived somehow and I wake up with 5 new followers. Didn't do anything, YouTube just decided to push the video again.

Very useful information, thank you for posting this.

Paddy, if I post my videos on forums and subreddits and don't ever delete them, will that prevent them from every going viral or being picked up by YouTube?

Why would it "damage the video"? YouTube will show the video to a small group of people regardless if you get external traffic or not.
Thumbnail + Title + Topic are things to consider.

No, it will NOT prevent, but make sure your external isnt too many over your organic views, ratio should be 1 organic : 5 external. Over than that, should delete the link on reddit, prevent it from gaining too many or you will get slow viral because system need to check those views are legit or not

Another trash video, algorithm starts at the first hour and fails instantly, after 1 day i change title to something completely different from the original, it buff again but still, the content is horrible so it dies again XD

I still don't believe any black hat methods are required for youtube, simply get your initial views from search and it will be pushed to browse features. Something strange is no channels on my main google account ever make it to browse / suggested anymore, whereas channels on my alt google account get pushed fine. I think my main google account was shadow banned. Anyway, here's an update on how my latest channel's doing, it's just a week old with 4 videos up.

I really dont know how suggested views work, most of my suggested views are come from my own video LOL, to get browse feature, you want to use click bait title, make sure your CTR from browse feature is always above 15%

You are right but as for me i dont even need a single view from search or external. My videos just get pushed on suggested and browse feature without me doing anything. The video dies then gets randomly revived again after 2-3 days. I love the YT algo it's too easy. I went from 0 to 27 subscribers within 3 days. I am very proud of my conversion rate tho.

The only thing required for YouTube is a video that someone will click on when presented to them. Very simple concept.

Noticed on your channel every video you use keyword or SEO it does bad

Your recent only 100 views D:

I have read every reply in this thread, spent hours reading and conclusion is as simple as this.

Maintain same *browse features* CTR consistently or close to same for days = views

If you get 10% CTR beginning but within a few hours it drops down to 6%, you're dead
If you get 10% CTR beginning but drops down to 6% within a day, still dead

You have to keep the CTR. Problem is most people in this thread are starting from scratch so getting pushed to browse feature is hard for them to even get started.

Judging by the thread to get pushed to browse feature with new channel you need to share to reddit and get some organic traffic there, not a lot. Then keep trying till you hit big.

Take note though this thread is about videos under 1 minute because watchtime is easy to maintain 100%. With longer videos it's still possible but harder to start from scratch! That is the whole issue. Don't start with long videos.
