The answer is NO, i have some video higher than 4 minutes and it didnt get boost, i think they dont want to watch long content if they are not fun enough
 
I experimented this with shorts.
I am getting tremendous result.
I am following this thread since beginning and understood what op is sharing.
The important thing is first we should give initial boost.
This strategy works only for short videos not longer videos.
 
The more viral videos you have, the more algorithm reduce its test time. Before it needs 18 hours of testing, now only 3 hours

are you planning to shoot a video longer than 1 minute? Or is your theme designed for videos no longer than 1 minute?

Honestly, it works for longer videos and shorts.
 
i have one question, how do you promote your videos on reddit without getting banned for spamming?

Below 3 mins should work, but higher i dont think so, 1 of my video is over 2 mins and it got nearly 100k views but it's kinda low compare to shorter videos

I play 1 match of dota 2 that around 40 mins then buy 4-5k views with high retention, it's very easy
 
What does this mean? This video is going viral but only 28% on homepage? Most of my video have atleast 90-95% recommending

Closed captions is very useful tool in youtube, it actually helps me gain a LOT of engagements ( comments ), make sure to create your OWN CC when you have voice in your video ! First time i use it and it gains a lot !
It must be your own because you gonna make it funny right? That's how you get free engagements from it !
