Even with seemingly good retention (80%) and good CTR, I'm failing to replicate OP's success for some reason.

Will make more videos to test this even further.

Can someone explain to me the significance of using reddit? And how using reddit is more beneficial than say twitter or facebook?

Reddit generates browser views and the other platforms do not?


What if we bot reddit? Have fake reddit accounts with proxies click the video on reddit? Would that be easier then having a youtube bot and boosting youtube?

REDDIT=YouTube app view when you click the preview image(Aggregate as a valid view to be redirected to the app)

Facebook = mobile web ( Mobile webview is valid traffic x)

Twitter = never used

There are no changes to the algorithm. They are simply pre-made content. Like stock of products.

And when it's the video's turn to receive traffic, it sends valid traffic.

I do the same.
 
What does this mean

Is it possible to upload a video thats 20-30 seconds without it being uploaded as a short? I want to upload a video as a normal upload. It keeps uploading as a youtube short.

That is me, and you are correct. Boosting those only helps the Kw algorithm and gets me ranked, but it's not enough (since in browse feature I had only 7% Ctr), even ranked you may or may not have traffic. I will test the browse feature CTR to see how far that one gets me.

If you are talking about the Browse feature CTR then yea (it's 7%) on this video. Anyhow, even that can be manipulated I think. ( I will test that soon) This is only viable ofc. for the initial boost. To get the video out there. The next will depend if you can scale or if you do not help the video then it will depend totally on YT algo.

Sadly I think control CTR before boosting doesnt work at the first place, algorithm choose random user during the first hour boosting to collect data then it start boosting your video to viral with that data when you passed the viral test

Let's say after doing reddit youtube algo pushes 2000 people if that 2000 people dont watch it again its video will not go. Ultimately it comes to what kind of content.. deal breaker would be what kind of content your making.. because 1 minute 5 minutes 10 minutes three are not same

Well, apparently im not doing it correctly since those are only numbers until I will get the Browse CTR high enough....and that is what I will test soon if it can be done.

You guys make it sound like I have to press a button to get “browse feature" views??? If I don’t get browse feature views, it’s not my fault. It’s not like I can manipulate it. I will keep on pushing, one day I may get impressions from there eventually.
 
Well browse feature depends on your Subscribers, for the 1st push If your Subs do engage in numbers and in quality (retention on video, like etc)
If your subs are crap, meaning that they are bought or do not care about what subject you post, or the video is bad then you will have no views in the browse feature from the subscribers and your and/or your B Feature CTR will be crap.
If your subscribers are 0 then the initial push will be affected ofc.

It can be manipulated. Start with 5 phones from 5 friends/family.
 
Testing new video, i think video below 40s duration is very bad, the one with forbidden method has been stopped with only 10k views because even i have 66% retention, they only watch 22s total, this will kill algorithm, video with 20-30s duration, they should watch atleast 90% retention for it to work, below = dead. I notice if they watch for atleast 30s for video above 40s, algorithm will keep pushing.. this time i make video with 44s duration and they watch for 34s, look very promising this time, let's see how it goes after 10 hours

U can manipulated before the viral test, but during the test, if you cant maintain that CTR, algorithm will stop after 2-3 hours. You cant control this test

With all due respect to OG, guys listen to me. If earnings come first, don't do what OG wrote.

Reasons:

1) On very short videos (1min) like his are very low earnings, he even stated that the RPM is $ 1.3 which is the minimum. (Currently, I have YT channels that have above 15$ RPM. (32+$ CPM)

2) Such videos belong to the YouTube plot hole algorithm because they are very short and depend a lot on the trend or individual topic. It's shaky and tomorrow you may not have 95% of the viewers you had due to a lack of loyalty.

3) CTR is a crucial thing but not KING. Youtube Algorithm from 2015 onwards set a priority for AUDIENCE RETENTION (AVD) and only then for CTR (due to many clickbaits before 2015. This means that if you do not have AVD vide, your channel will not survive. The longer the video lasts, the harder have a higher AVD. (The higher the AVD the higher the RPM due to more ads)

4) Build the loyalty and story of your channel, and connect your audience into one community. Higher Loyalty = higher AVPV (average views per viewer). AVPV is very important for the algorithm, remember that, few people talk about it.

Actually i go against thing that everyone follow, sometimes i ask youtube support " Is there a way to block people from subcribing me? "
The fact vidoe can go viral depend on CTR a lot so if people follow my channel and i create multiple niches but that's not their niches they like to watch => they dont watch it = wasted. My videos are like 7-8 niches and dont want anyone follow my channel, low subcribers = better boost => better earning. The only way to build loyality is having your voice on the video OR you are something that normal people cant do it.
My video is pure excellent BUT i'm trash at english so title is so hard to think => wasted video.
