I bought Scrapebox, now what?

Your probably watching the wrong videos. When the interface massively changes I generally redo that feature with a new video. But for more videos the interface is 95% to 99.95% the same and in those cases I don't redo the video. Scrapebox works really hard to keep the interface the same as much as possible because of the videos and so people don't have to relearn things.

However of coruse sometimes there is no choice but to redo it.
Looking back to my first day with Scrapebox I agree that I watched the vids in the wrong order and learning how to use my new toy was overwhelming. The old vs new videos to a new guy was like a completely different beast. As I became more comfortable and got a better feel for things the minor differences in interface are no longer an issue. I remember thinking early on, "damn right it's like a Swiss Army knife. Lots of crappy tools packed into an ugly package". lol I'm still far from being proficient with SB but it's not so intimidating now. I prefer to think of it as more like a Leatherman. A good set of useful tools to have available.

Well if there are particular videos that you find too out dated because the interface has changed, shoot me a pm and Ill evaluate on redoing it.

Alright, I have a question (@loopline):

How should I proceed in my learning? Each day I'm looking at random videos, but it's not coming together for me.

What I'm looking for is a roadmap to build initial familiarity, as in 1st understand this then 2nd learn this, et cetera.

I don't need anyone to spoon feed me, but having a structured way to build my knowledge of the tool would help immensely. A point in the right direction is what I'm asking.

Start at the other end. Start with the outcome. What is it you want to learn?

I mean Im a how to guy. So you tell me I want to do X, or get to X point in my process, and I tell you how to do it. Thats how the videos are structured.

So you must first have a plan of what you want to accomplish and then say "This is what I want to accomplish" and then you can find the videos and knowledge that suits your need. Else you will be forever learning and never doing.

Scrapebox has immense potential and Ive been using it for more then 10 years and I still hear people give new uses.

Thank you for replying. I've been here a fortnight & have seen you tirelessly, patiently answer all kinds of questions and issues. You have my genuine appreciation.

As for my goals, I want to learn
  1. How to find expired domains (the old fashioned way)
  2. Use Scrapebox for KW research
  3. Further my SEO in terms of
    1. Linkbuilding
    2. Competitor Research
    3. Site Audits
  4. Furnish my own proxies (to supplement the private proxies I use already)
  5. Generally learn how to use scraping to my advantage<----more of a long-term goal

And if you have any suggestions to pass on to a noob like me, I'm all ears.

not sure what the old fashioned way is, but the scrapebox expired domain finder does everything in 1 go. Put in your seed urls, and let it crawl and it will find all the expired domains, can filter them on the fly per your settings and then it checks metrics of the domains when done and gives it to you in a nice export. Also it has a wayback downloader in case you want to download and recreate the expired domain.

2 - here is a keyword video but I have a few others on there I think as well

3 - there are multiple ways to build links with scrapebox, you can use fast poster is the main one. A video series on how to do that

As for competitor research and site audits, there are lots of tools in scrapebox, but kind of depends on how you define those terms specifically

The video series above has a starter video on proxies, its the first one but you can search the channel I have all kinds of proxy videos including how to add your own sources:

5 - probably this will come as you put more of your other points together. Basically go as far as you can see and then you will be able to see to go further.

You never cease to impress! @loopline I try my darnedest to not pester you. But an initial point down the rabbit hole from you is worth its weight in gold!

I will watch the videos and make use of these suggestions stat - but l should point out that my strategy regarding expired domains was to learn how to find them without the addon 1st (in order to increase familiarity with Scrapebox). Then my plan is to purchase & use it after I had developed the skill on my own. Your way works too, I suppose.

Ultimately, once I reach an acceptable level of competency you will see my subscriber details for the lists. It's simply a matter of me gaining enough knowledge of the tool to fully utilize your services (you know, the faqs site).

Thanks again sir.

You are going to have a long journey! You can scrape and oh oh may be you can start a list service?

Glad to be of a help. :)

Sure you can do it without the plugin, the functions are all there, its just more steps. The exception is majestic, there is no way to check majestic metrics without a plugin, but you can do everything else, including find the expired domains. I never built a tutorial on how to do it, because the plugin was a 1 stop shop for that, but you can google and probably find a tutorial on how to do it without the plugin.

Your welcome, have a great day!

I'm getting there...

Ironically, I was in the midst of scraping when I saw your notification. Rest assured your advice is not going to waste.

Hello Guys,

I bought Scrapebox to create tier 2 & 3 Backlinks. Since there are so many changes in interface and their FAQ I am not able to understand a thing how and from where to start.
I have wasted couple of hours just to understand settings and their purpose.

I would like to find and create backlinks and tier 2/3 properties.
Also want to do contact form submission.

I intend to buy captcha and proxies but first need to get some success before buying it.

If anyone guide me that will be appreciated.

Hi

did you use a discount code or anything to get scrapebox because your a blackhatworld member?

First do some research... Read others post on it.. Test it.. Make ur own twist..
