Hey everyone,

I recently bought a domain now, but I am unaware of the next step, is there a guide somewhere that shows the next step?

I was wondering where can I access the log-in information for me to edit the site I just bought? I tried browsing through name cheap, but I'm still not sure

Sorry I am a little new, and yes I've realized its a bad idea to start spending when you're unaware of the next step.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Next you're going to need hosting. Hosting allows you to edit the site itself once you install a plaform (html/css, joomla, wordpress, shopify, etc). You will attach the Domain Name Servers from your hosting provider onto the domain. I would recommend Hostgator, but you can get whatever hosting company you want.

Here are instructions on how to set DNS on namecheap: http://support.hostgator.com/articles/how-to-change-name-servers-with-namecheap

First you need a business plan....

Why did you buy that domain name? You certainly have an idea where you'd like to go next?

I have an idea where I'm going next, I've purchased this starter pack from a seo service offered here at bhw.

So I did get a keyword, but I'm required to purchase a domain and "Hosting" before the next step in the process.

So i did purchase the domain, so just a little confused on the next step.

I gave you an exact description of what to do..lol

Yeah I was just telling him of what my next step is and where I am a little confused.

I just tried getting in touch with someone who could help with hosting through the hosting forum here.

Also I just checked host gator, is there a certain plan you recommend?

Thank you though!

Namecheap has a great support team. Contact them, they'll be happy to help you out with most of the things you just ask.
To get you a little started:

You should've gotten an email from namecheap, it has all login information for your server.
The subject should be something like this: "Your Hosting Welcome Guide for yourwebsite . extension".

The email should explain how you can get access to your cpanel.

I just checked my e-mail and I haven't received such email yet, maybe because the website was purchased less than 24 hours ago?

I will try to live-chat and ask them regarding the login information for my server, thank you!

Yep @PHPInjected gave you all the next steps.

I thought your question was aimed at the business side.

If your doubts are technical, then just follow his instructions and get your site up and running.

With HG, you can use the Baby Plan and it will suffice. Good luck!
