Today I just saw that I was denied from the Film Academy ...:(
Over 2 months of hard work was gone...
Now, I must waiting one year for another admission request.

What to do one year, from now?! :(

sorry for this friend.....you will learn from failure though and you never give up. Follow your dreams no matter what

Life....

If you really wanna get there, try again, or find an excuse ))

Anyway, best of luck.

By the way, keep your head held high. Lest us not forget that Quentin Tarentino, James Cameron and Stanley Kubrick never went to film schools and I would feel safe saying that they did pretty well for themselves ;)

Don't worry mate. In this field only talent matters. No one really cares about the academy.
Instead of wasting a year look for alternative academies with similar facilities.
And, if you have decided to give yourself a year break then indulge in some kind of independent projects. That will add to your portfolio.

If you want to go to film academy today or tommorow you will surely get there if you'er doing things in right manner, just because you think you should be in film academy doesn't make sense ,this time you just worked hard for two month now you have a whole year in front of you word harder for 12 month and you'll surely land at the best place with bes place you deserve.Just Don't get Upset Remember "Failure's are the Pillars Of Success".

Make yourself a promise that in 2,000 or more attempts and denials you'll never give up. You'll taste victory.
Do what it takes to win regardless. :pirate:

A week ago, I failed at my college, so now I have to do the second year again. I disappointed my family, especially my parents who believed in me and gave me everything, but I failed to do well in there. I was feeling very bad.

Next evening, I got an e-mail where YardBarker/FoxSports notified me that they accepted me as their partner, so I started making some extra money. Two days ago, my friend hired me to do a part-time web design for his company and yesterday I found a full-time job. So after a total disappointment which I felt a week ago, I am feeling very happy now and I'm looking forward to getting more successful.

My point is that it's not end of the world. Shit happened, shit happens and shit will happen. It won't be your last time either, but each time you will get stronger and handle it all much easier. I wish you good luck with it, and I hope they will accept you next time!

I'm in film as well, like Xavier said work on some independent projects for the year, whatever your specialize or have a passion for in film you can keep yourself occupied and also add to your portfolio for when you apply around next time. Good luck man, if you love film you'll stick with it, I always have

Just follow your bliss and start saving up and doing projects on your own and with other like minded artists. You don't need a freaking degree to follow your dreams. Besides, art is what you do when nobody is looking.

@FredTheRed - I don't know. They don't give you a reason. They just accept there, or not.
I think I was too modest there ( I have some shorts, and some theatre plays in my portofolio, and I didn't tell anything about them ). Or, I was too honest at the interview. Or, I don't know.
Like I said to other friends of mine, I was no very good there, but also I was no weak. I was good, and I think it because they didn't stop me when I told my fables, or my poems. Also, they didn't stopped me when I danced, or when I sang ( I, as I think, I sang good ).
I was conscious about the competitors from there, and I didn't understimate them. Maybe they denied me because I haven't a lot of $$$ ( I saw, a few, guys with rich parents, which was admitted there ), or maybe because I didn't met any of them.

Anyway, thank you very much guys for your support. Next year I will do the best!

You must never give up! the most successful people on earth have had
many failures, but they are so successful because they didn't take no
for an answer, and never stopped trying.

25,000 people die every single day from hunger.
You had a chance to study at the film academy. You have the computer, you are on BHW.
Just smile and enjoy your life every day. You have no real problem, trust me.

Every NO is one step closer to a YES. If I was you I would go get my dick sucked by a hot blond. Then I would get up brush the dust off and try even harder to get in the academy next time. Don't sit around all year feeling sorry for your self. Study harder and work making that NO a YES. Best of luck to you. I hope you someday realize your dreams.

Everyone fails/get rejected of something. What matters is what you do about it. So my question toyyou is, what are YOU going to do? Are you going to see this rejection as something that'll make want to get back at them by becoming an award winning director?

Or are you going to accept being a reject? The choice is yours.
