internet marketing is limitless. you can make so many websites. there are so many things you can do. I am getting dizzy thinking about all the possibilities. so many ideas. but I never execute them. I don't know what the problem is. I think part of it is I don't like risk. I don't want to spend money and not make it back. I am not lazy, I am pretty motivated. I don't know what the problem is. maybe it's my anxiety. I have an anxiety problem. I am always anxious.

I feel trapped and stuck. I want to double my income and it's not happening. any idea what the problem is?

This is likely not the best of fields for you then as starting sites or offering services all come at a cost, often being your time, money, or most times, both, there are very few things in life that guarantee you make your money back but with IM, you can track your costs and constantly assess what you are doing and find ways to improve, how much time have you spent reading on here?

I spend a lot of time reading here but oftentimes I get lost because I don't understand some things.

but google is so unpredictable, speaking from experience, I could spend thousands of dollars in backlinks and my site might get stuck on page 10 and never move up.

It may seem like a pain to ask tons of questions but the community here is rather helpful, when you come across things you do not get, post a thread and I'm sure you will get the answers you need, others reading may be able to learn some things too.
 
this is a business, and as most businesses, starting one requires capital. in this case, you need capital to pay for domain, hosting, content (if you are not doing it yourself). even for for YT you would want to get at least a canva pro to do up your banner, thumbnail etc ..

like you i was stuck as well, now i am still, but what changed is that i am willing to spend and try now, but have not decided on the route ..

I dont care about minor expenses like a $10 domain and $50 for hosting. but good backlinks cost money. a backlink from ny times costs $2500+ and it may not even help. how do I spend $2500 without any guarantee that it will move the needle?
 
Those who spoke on getting over your fear of risk and spending money to make money are right; so I'll speak on something else:

You seem to have a lot of ideas, yeah? I'm not sure what you're thinking as you're not specific, but I'd put them all in a list. Find commonalities in them. For example: is there one tool you can make/buy that will enable several ideas to be accomplished? Really drill down. Start with the basics that will enable you to accomplish more of them.

When I have a pile of ideas I find there are often "building blocks" shared amongst them. I focus on those first. If one idea fails, I'm set to try the next.

Best of luck to you. Internet money really is limitless. Just have to think, be organized, and execute. Expect failure because that's part of the game.
 
Keep all the technical stuff aside and start working on your Anxiety first.

It is your anxiety that is stopping you from doing anything. Anxiety is an issue that is a major hindrance in the path of any entrepreneur.

Start doing meditation, Yoga, running exercise and spend some quite and peaceful time with yourself doing nothing.

Once you get over the anxiety then think of internet marketing as a business. See my friend, Internet Marketing is a business that requires lot of time, patience and perseverance. If you do not have these virtues then how will you succeed here?

That's exactly why 99.9% of the population never make much money.

1) too many choices
2) fear of risk
3) afraid to spend money and not make it back, but at the same time not afraid to spend money on entertainment

It can be summed up as choice & risk though.

You have to be someone who can take control of your mind, focus on something and be ok with just burning as much cash and time as it takes to eventually succeed.

If I told you that you would have to work for 10 years and burn $300k over that time, but after 10 years you would have a business making $ 1mil/year, and after 15 years you would have a $5mil/year business, you would have no problem executing and wouldn't feel any fear or concern about wasting your money.

Think about that really carefully. The key to unlocking your mind lies within that thought experiment.
 
No risk No gain you won't learn unless you implement things yourself Experience + Effort = Results Try Things out the job mentality is there for you to keep you stuck rewire your brain first know and understand what you can do what you like doing and are you skilled enough to make money from it never be afraid to try things out even if you fail a couple of times you'll learn. :rolleyes:
