Try serverflare.com I use them for all my seo programs. A test with speedtest.net reported 50mbps upload and download.

Dedicated servers can have a Gigabit Connection, yes.

There are some dedicated providers that will provide a gige link all the way to the server.
You'll know when you need that. If you are thinking of getting a VPS obviously you probably don't need it if you decided to go with a dedicated server (100 mbit port)

Check out www.aliasserver.com . I use them for a 3GM VPS, and the speed is really unmetered. I use at least a 100TB a month and nothing happens.

So a VPS can increase your upload speed (compared to your regular ISP)? I'm new to what a VPS can do to your down/upload speed. I have charter as my ISP and I'm on their best plan, with an advertised 5 mbps upload,, but if i go with something like hostamus, i could get more than 5 mbps upload on their server?
I would go with arvixe there speed is crazy fast starting at 20 a month, plus every year they run a two day special for half of each plan for LIFE, not one year like most other companies.

It would depend on your vps upload/download speed vs your ISP speed. When you download or upload from your server to another server your ISP speed doesn't matter even if its 128kbps but if you are downloading or uploading to your pc then both of your ISP and Server speeds matter.
