I am frustrated.

if you're getting in the game to sell shoutouts, you should quit now. you're too late lol or find a niche that isn't saturated. There are still niches out there where the largest accounts are under 100k

Starting something with the main goal to make quick money is always problematic. You see a lot of people give up because it isn't yielding results fast enough.

Move back in with your parents and start something you're truly passionate about. Something you want people to remember long after your body turned to dust.
 
So you spent 30$ and wanna earn thousands in return?I spend 30$ a month just on a VPS,nothing earned so far and don't expect anything to the near future.

Start selling them cheap. $1/shoutout perhaps. Do some testing, and then charge more as your followers increase.

It takes time homie..Time and Patience is the key..be active post more then 2-3 per day, engage with your followers.
i build a page of 1mil followers in 1yr and 8months.. Just be active.. Good luck homie.
 
I spent around $500 and after 3 months sitting at 40k followers.
I'm going to monetize when I hit around 100k and I'll reinvest those incomes to boost my follower further more.
One of my friends is at 380k and he constantly earns $120-$200 everyday.
 
9000 isn't near enough for anyone to care about a shoutout, you need at least 10x that in my opinion. Find other ways to monetize the account in the meantime, there's plenty.

Are these 380k followers on a single account or different accounts ?
 
5% engagement rate is good but your followers should be 20K or more to start monetizing. Hashtags and quality content is the key.

Your only 3 months in with 9k followers, this is not bad!, it's all depends on the niche your in and what your goals are with the account/accounts. You may be in a niche that takes a lot more people than 9k to push things along. Don't read everything online about other peoples data and think there is something wrong with you and your accounts because it's not like theirs. That's not how it works. Those people could be in a totally different niche with totally different targeting than you. Keep your head up and keep trying! Rome wasn't built in a day, nor should you expect the same!
