So it's been 3 months since I started my account. Only reached 9k followers. Not a single shoutout request. I already spent $30 on Instagress and I don't wanna spend any more since I still don't see earnings... I've been posting once or twice a day since day one. I make sure they're good. I take time to think footers. Yet like ratio is only 5% on average.I feel like giving up.
I am frustrated.

It takes time to build. Not going to happen over night. If it was that easy everyone would be doing it. Take some time and go and read up more here on BHW there are lots of great tips and tricks on getting things done. Stick to it.

Start selling them cheap. $1/shoutout perhaps. Do some testing, and then charge more as your followers increase.

i have two accounts with 300k+ combined followers and i am barely selling any shout out!

don't be frustrated OP, keep working on your followers.... Patience and Consistency is the key... try manual follow/unfollow method if you have just one account to save cost and increase follow back ratio...

You need to engage your followers more to get decent engagement. I would suggest switching to manual if you're only running one account and try to like the posts of everyone you follow for at least a few days before unfollowing. I have a fitness account with 6k followers that was barely getting 200 likes per pic a week ago and since I have switched to manual I am now getting almost 500. Money will come if you have decent engagement, I have a 14k account that is getting shoutout orders almost everyday with around 10% engagement. Don't give up!

If you feel like giving up over 1 slow start that's not even a failure, I will tell you right now that you aren't cut out for IM. There are ups and downs to the business that you have to be content with.
I spent two years 18 hours a day doing what I do now with fuck all. That does not include the countless years and hours I spent before. The two years was getting it rolling. Think it is easy? Then give up. Think it is worth it? Carry on.
