In my opinion affiliate programs in the vertical where the big money have their big share can bring rather interesting results. HY affiliates are known to be the part of a business group (HYCM broker) working on financial markets. Has anyone tried making business with these guys? Reviews and opinions on both HY affiliates and partnership programs in the financial vertical/trading are highly welcome in this thread!

I don't want to discourage you, but the relationship between affiliate programs and CFD brokers is always a bit complicated as they tend to try and rip each other off constantly. I suppose that's less of an issue when the affiliate program belongs to the brokerage house itself. The hardest part is actually converting, do you have a good traffic source to generate leads for FX offers? Have you ever done anything like this before?
If you have a sure way to provide leads that will convert/end up in deposits for brokers, I could potentially help you out with some suggestions or partners.

Thanks for the reply! Nice to meet someone who has got some ideas and knowledge in the business! Yeap, this is exactly the case when the broker and affiliate come out of the same financial group, so good to know you also think this is a good sign. I’ve ran through a number of other affiliate programs before got interested in this particular one.
To tell the truth I’m not experienced in affiliate programs, but I’m experienced in trading and I’ve got a few contacts in trading chats and forums. Not sure if that would be enough. I was thinking of cooperation with some trading gurus or smth like that.

Why would trading gurus participate in such partnership? Well, depends on the reward probably... Anyway the strategy sounds a little complicated. Will require a lot of negotiating skills.

From what I know, bloggers rarely miss the chance to earn extra money by participating in marketing campaigns and including commercial ads in their content. Moreover, the fact the blogger is popular and has got many subscribers to his finance-related channel does not necessarily mean that such a person is a millionaire. The money is money. The more - the better ;)

I don’t know, bloggers and personal contacts are good, but the method lacks stability, don’t you think so? People tend to change their mind, reconsider pricings, and some of them are simply not easy to get along. If I were to participate in affiliate program, I’d definitely want to rely more on solid numbers from the stats.

Well, you are not wearing my shoes, this is why feel free to have your own approach and opinions. I won’t argue. Really. I agree people can be difficult to get along with. But as long as it happened so that I’ve got some contacts in trader’s worlds, I am trying to use this competitive advantage first. Bringing in tons of traffic to get to know the aff program better can cost a lot. And I hardly see how anyone could start with big numbers and make no mistakes. Don’t want the money to be wasted. So far I’m investing my time only.

No problem. If you know how to get to know how it works without investing much cash in it - better start this way. This is reasonable. Anyway, looks like you’ve started already. How is it going?

Some people have registered with the broker. But they don’t hurry to fund their accounts. Didn’t do that in 1-2 weeks already! I doubt they ever will, but unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it now. I guess its broker’s turn now to push them to make this step.

Don’t get upset yet, this is quite normal that people don’t fund their accounts instantly. HYCM does not offer any kind of special bonuses for extra-fast funding, correct? If that’s correct, there is not reason to worry. First they will need to try a demo, which will take no less than a month. Then they will have to go through different phases of coping with the greed and fear. Then only some of them will arrive to the point when they need to go live.

I hope you are right. For now I’ve only got 3 more subscriptions and yet no funded accounts :( And no, broker doesn’t offer any major sign-up bonus.

Totally agree with the above message from Vonos! Affiliate marketing is a long-term project, especially in this niche. But the good point about it is that once you’ve got the client, you can turn this client into a source of your passive income. From what I know, brHy really oker always offer to choose between getting a single-time payout or a commission of all the revenue the account will bring in a lifetime. I think that forex business is the one where its better to try the second approach.

I am not really that sure yet. And I’ve already applied for CPA payouts. I am very impatient to get at least some decent money first as soon as I get some real clients for HY affiliates. You know, until you feel the money in hand, that’s difficult to completely trust the partner, no matter how good this all sounds on paper. Perhaps I can reconsider the approach later, cause your point really makes sense. These guys really offer options to choose from: CPA, lot rebate and rev.share.

The more I live, the more I understand that people experience the same kinds of problems in every field they work at. Fear, greed, impatience. I used to trade Forex a few years ago and had these problems myself. I also run a business - the same kind of trouble. From time to time I miss the good opportunities because of fear, sometimes I get less than I could have gained from the venture, because of impatience. This was exactly what was happening with me in the forex. The strategy was nice, yet I was not making money because I was consistently going astray in my trades from the strategy. Because of emotional pressure for sure.
Don’t trouble yourself too much with the doubts. Just do what depends on you and don’t worry about the results, they will arrive when the fruit is ripe.

I hope so. Thanks for the encouragement. This sounds true actually. I didn’t know you were the forex trader.
I find the rules of the forum a bit difficult to understand regarding the links posting, but you see, I take the advice to do whatever I can to get some profits from this aff program.
Did you ever consider going back to trading btw? At least as a hobby? Looks like you’ve had enough time to reconsider the approach and learn the lesson. If you consider coming back, put emotions aside and make the damn fortune with trading, please consider the HYCM brokerage as well ;)
Here is the non-aff link to the broker.
And here is my referral link.

ROFL!!!
I have visited the link just in case I want to change the broker sometime in the near future (don’t hope too much though, I’m quite happy with mine). I want to make sure you get the $$ if I choose yours. The effort really deserves some encouragement ;)

Did the same thing! You know, the teaser was good! Now I tend to agree that the personal approach in aff marketing really works. Don’t give up, you’re doing great so far ;)

Thank you guys! Got some great news here. The first deposit arrived! I’m getting my first payout soon :) :) :)

I won’t be surprised if that was Vonos to fund the account. The appeal was a really good move on your side. But I might be wrong. Perhaps some of your old leads have finally made up their minds.
