Huge Free Traffic from Forums Postings?

Hello everyone,

I am just curious how much and what kind of traffic do you get from forum postings and of course from your signature file.

It is said that forum postings are very efficient free marketing tools. If you are posting in specific, niche forums you get quality, targeted traffic.

Do you agree? What are your experiences in this matter?

I don't think that forum posting can generate tons of traffic unless you do it on a large scale. I get on average about 13~18 clicks a day from each forum. And I think that it is quite a small number and it is alot of work.

I would prefer doing SEO if it took lesser time but nonetheless I am working on it.

I suppose it really depends what you have going on in terms of what to offer people and the credibility you have with the forum/board. If everyone knows you are a spammer scammer noob they are gonna stay away from your sig, but it comes in handy once in awhile(i'm talking about john jordan quotes of course)

forumposting works wanders. just make sure u only post in the forums relted to your niche.. also be the first poster on forums to as this helps traffic and clicks..

Totally agree with you. Used correctly, forums postings give you quality and targeted traffic.

Build up a solid reputation and you are on your way to some quality traffic.

I find the users who come from forums have a higher ratio of repeat visits. Just some observations I've made...they can be loyal customers

Forum viewers are very loyal customers depending on your offer. I should know because I've become a loyal customer because of forum posts.

Anyone who thinks forum posting works well clearly has not experienced any serious traffic. Yea, fair enough if you have a good reputation you might even make a few sales or generate loyal visitors but 20/50 clicks/day is bs traffic.

I averaged about 6k clicks a day from about 8 different rap forums the last three weeks by posting about the new lil wayne album. Very hot topic and most rap fans click links with freebie offers(and not to mention most rap forums having little to no moderation in regards to spamming). So find the hottest topic(s) in your niche and you can build the traffic.

As long as your forums are niche related you can drive thousand of k per day. Add a link to gallery and video posts and you will be amazed.

It's a lot of work and hard to automate but you can build great email lists using forum marketing. Then you care for them like a bonsai tree and it will make money for a long time.
