Wow, at least they admit it.

Hubpages came right out and told me that my hub was flagged for duplicate content. I'm following the Howie Schartz method (conversation domination) web 2.0 techniques. He says not to worry about duplicate content, as long as its on different domains.

But he appears to be very wrong about that (maybe he was right at one time, but no longer is.... )

At any rate, anyone who uses Hubpages have this issue?

I'm posting the exact same duplicate content about a keyword phrase/topic on each of the more predominant web2's.

Yep, I had a hard time with hubpages. Squidoo was much nicer. And after they flagged my content as duplicate it seemed every other page I tried to make was run over with a fine tooth comb. Haven't gone back to them in a while.

Same with me, I resigned from hubpages since they warned my that my content was a duplicate and started scrutinizing all my pages.

How can they tell?
Yes, it's content I've used elsewhere on the net (my own domains + other web2's) - but never on hubpages. How the F can they tell? Is someone seriously sitting there manually checking for this. What a joke. I wouldn't think you'd be able to run a profitable biz doing that...

I think you mistook Howie

on Squidoo and Hubpages, you set up sites that are unique, I have seen pages they set up in their programs and they are not duplicate content they are full blown unique sites

but the other web 2.0 properties like bookmarking sites you can use the duplicate content

Not only that they do not allow duplicate content, but I had a hard time to make more than 72 score points if I put a link in my article pointing for a lens for example. When I put a link they simply downgrade my score. So, I just do not waste my time there.

They want to make money from adsense, is not like squidoo a charithy, so you can understand them, let the noobs put good content there for pennies.

Howie clearly mentions he only uses the same content on everything EXCEPT hubpages, as they are very strict. Keep your hubpages unique and simple. They'll flag and remove your hub if you add things like ebay and amazon modules, etc.
