HTTPS is not requirement for ranking??

The browser will warn the website that there is no https, then the user will see the risk of increasing the bounce rate, reducing the ranking.

Irrespective of whether SSL is a ranking factor or not, I strongly believe that one should have it installed in your website.

Why show that horrible SSL error to your audience warning them it is not safe to visit this website?

Moreover the "Let's Encrypt" SSL is offered free by many (or almost every) host. Then why not use it?

Nothing have direct connection to ranking most of the time. So thats why seo gurus and meuler make misleading statements.
Exactly No Connection with SERP Movement. it's Just the audience feel bit safe

I think john meuler is full of %&$#. He lies all the time.
Try building an ecom site with payment gatway and no ssl, you cant!. Payment gayways plugins can detect no ssl and wil through error.
That's why i dont take John's Statement Seriously

Previously I Used to neglect matt cutts Statement's now I Neglect of John. Both are two sides of Same Coin
