How would you monetize this unique community?

Hello everyone!

I have an interesting side project and I'm curious to hear your professional opinions on how best to monetize it!

To provide some background, there are various communities on Reddit and other social media platforms within the finance niche that revolve around acronyms such as FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early), FATFIRE (Retiring with $5M+), and HENRY (High Earner, Not Rich Yet).

In February, I started a Reddit community called HENRYUK. Since then, it has grown to over 39,000 members and has garnered over 12.5 million views, with thousands of valuable posts and questions answered.

We're currently working on building a personal finance wiki for high earners in the UK and displaying ads. We also have a sort of newsletter, but many members were hesitant to share their emails due to the community's nature (which is understandable).

So, I'm curious, how would you monetize this without compromising the integrity of the group and causing members to leave?

Its important to make money from HENRYUK without messing up the community vibe. Try affiliate marketing for promoting financial products.
U can sell ur own stuff that relates ur commuity...Be honest and focused on giving value to every1 happy.

Build an email list (so that you don't have to depend on a platform for having an audience). Once they submit the email, you can give them something for free. Let's say a very secret technique that rich don't want you to know. Something which is quite clickbait. Now, you have to build relationship with the emails you are collecting by sending them tips and tricks.

After 5-6 days, start promoting either a service or product of your own or an affiliate product. This kind of builds a funnel and has better chances of converting people than they seeing a random ad from you (if you promote a product or service directly)

Create a forum with your sub reddit name and promote it on your subreddit. Once you have enough people on your forum you can do whatever you want by displaying ads, sponsored ads/posts.

First off, nice job growing that Reddit community.

I'm not familiar with that niche, but you can always try promoting apparel that appeals to them. You know, shirts that say "HENRY Life", "It's Tough Being A Henry", "HENRY Brit & Proud". Maybe something less cringey than those examples I provided, but you get the point.

If there are any groups they oppose, you can always create designs encouraging that opposition. "HENRY>FATFIRE"

You can make the designs in Photoshop or Illustrator, upload them to an account on a platform like SpreadShop (that's what BHW uses, but there's probably something better out there), and promote them in your subReddit.

If all else fails, just ask them what they'd like in terms of designs.
