Basically, I'm looking to get a site purposefully sandboxed such that it doesn't show up in the SERPs for a specific keyword. How would one go about doing this? Thanks.

Before anyone helps him take in mind it could be YOUR site he wants to remove.

Unless you're talking about your own site then what oxonbeef said will work.

No, it's someone else's site. 100% certain it's not a member here, though. Thanks for the posts thus far. Basically, I am doing rep management and have a nice setup, but someone has a link with some serious negative crap on it rising up the rankings for the search term, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it disappear.

Would throwing crap traffic at it work, or would that run the risk of increasing the ranking of it? Thanks!

Never do something to someone's site, That you wouldn't like to get done to yours.

No, it's someone else's site.

Sorry, unacceptable to operate like that in this arena... it is not only unethical but chicken feathers.

Man up and get your own stuff to bury it in the search engines if it is an issue for you/your client instead of ruining another's work.

Fair enough. Thank you for the input.

Why would you wish for someone's site to be removed? Also, what's the URL of that website? It could be a website owned by any of us in here. And what are your reasons for the removal of the website that you are targeting? It's just unethical to do that.

Threads like this make me mad, absolutely, f***ing mad. I had a site that was attacked and taken down so often a few years ago (I'm not going to say how because if you don't know then you don't need to know) that I had to effectively stop it being hosted and move onto another domain.
OP, this job is hard enough without tools like you asking stuff like that on a black hat forum!

You're referring to the website actually being attacked though and not necessarily removed from Google right? It doesn't sound like the OP is trying to take down the website entirely, just trying to outrank it.

No, he's not trying to outrank it and whether he is not trying to use something like DDOS or some other method to 'sandbox' it, it is still the same principle...he wants it out of the SERPS and not by natural means.
As BassTrackerBoats said,

He is not looking to outrank it...

I'm looking to sandbox the site, basically. The site gains nothing financially for anyone, and is basically dredging up things from 20+ years ago for my client. I'd throw a DCMA takedown notice to them, but I'm not sure how long it would take for that to work.

Apologies if I've struck a nerve with anyone, it was not my intention. I had assumed that this forum borders on the unethical.
