How to value a subreddit?

I'm a moderator of a beauty social media niche subreddit, which has 2k weekly visitors and 14k members and no posts at all as it was restricted previously, I'm thinking of letting it go, how to value it?

Help will be appreciated!

Was the subreddit generating any income? That way is easier to know the value of a subreddit

nope, as I had said it was restricted, as it is a social media based subreddit i thought I can earn through collabs, but I'm kinda new to this
 
14k members sounds decent but zero activity makes it hard to value. I’d revive it first and get some posts/engagement going. You’ll have a much better idea of what you actually have after that.

It’s okay to start off with 14K members, but without doing anything about it and without revenue coming in, it would be hard to set a proper price. In my opinion, you should try briging it back up for some time.

This. Try to revive it, if possible. You can approach beauty brands once you have a decent reach.

I’d look at the weekly traffic, niche, and potential for rebuilding activity rather than just the 14k members.
 
1) Previously restricted means it's marked /flagged by the system to be watched. If transferred for aggresive marketing, it's got a higher risk for the buyer than a non-restricted/dropped sub

The value as is
14k subscribers
2.7k visitors

^ This indicates its very inactive and possibly botted traffic . Active subreddits I have , not a single one has less visitors than subscribers

I'd price this around $50-$100

It's low effort, fast flip.

Now if you got active and worked on it, and got htose numbers flippped to where there's more visitors than subscribers, far more.
 
restricted accounts are risky, most buyers know this. the real issue is whether reddit will flag it harder once transferred. if u can get it active first, value goes up 3-5x easy. focus on posts/karma before selling
 
Going to be hard selling it without people finding out or competitors report you.

14k is a decent sized community, but if there isn't a lot of activity on it then it's not as valuable as a niche community with activity. You could try valuating at $2k - around $0.20/per user and see if people bite.

It also depends on users in the community - if your audience is filled with T3 countries (India/Pakistan/Russia/China etc) it's going to be harder to monetize unless it's very niche to those countries.
